Oops, his birthday was on the 2nd of July.

It was written on http://deadpool.rotten.com/ that his birthday is today.

It's ok, my country celebrates (well, just celebrated) it's independence on July 4th when in fact the document declaring such was signed on July 2nd.  Something about a straggler or two that needed to sign it weren't able to do so until the 4th; but the history books DO note that they were wearing Pierre Cardin chaps.

I was in Bratislava, Slovakia yesterday, and was hanging out in their (one and only) big mall, just minding my own business when I suddenly came across these monstrosities.

My first thought was: "Hey this guy is a DL pick!"

Then: "Anybody who designs such grotesque clothing and sells it for such extravagant amounts of money doesn't deserve to live into his mid-90's."

Fuck haha. My knowledge of what he designed was pretty much absent outside of the bubble dress but after seeing those monstrosities, I really think it was better off that way. Seriously, I don't think he was interesting in living to his 90s, I think he was interested in living in the 90s

Is it just me, or does his face look a little too puffy?

(It's probably just me...)

Deathlist's second big miss after Bocuse. Their hit rate isn't too impressive this year.

Again, I don’t think they were mentioned at all on the who should be on deathlist thread (or if they were, I don’t remember it), so they definitely don’t count as a miss imo.

I have to admit that I missed Givenchy too. I prepared a list of famous elderly fashion designers a couple of weeks ago, but was too lazy to post it on the "possibilities" thread. I'm also angry that I did not put Malone & Gavin on my shadow list, even though I considered them for a moment.

However, you deathlisters are supposed to have a nose for celebrities who will die soon, and Bocuse & Givenchy are two very famous names that you missed.

I would argue the only big misses are Morgan Tsvangirai Liam Miller Roger Bannister and maybe Lewis Gilbert and Jimmy Armfield

Dodd was a big name to miss on fame and age grounds but he appeared so well last year that no one can seriously argue he is a genuine miss as most people if asked in December would have said he was very sprightly for 90.
