I'm not impressed either.  If you can only see it through a camera you might just as well look at photographs.

Oh, I could clearly see what you can see in the photo. It was a deep red.

I walked 10 minutes up to the nearest viewpoint, and it had already disappeared  Not worth it when the best view was from my doorstep.

Got a date this Friday with who I would tentatively describe as the ideal man for me. Didn't think I had a chance in hell of scoring him so I was somewhat astonished when he actually made the first move on me, and was all the more keen on my suggestion we go out. I don't think I've ever liked anyone this strongly before (it's at least as much as mango likes Jimmy Carter), and if I could keep him then I think I'd be very contented with life. I've had a fair few things to deal with this last year so to finally find love would be a happy ending.

Congratulations on the success in setting up a meeting with a person you like so much, I hope everything goes well and good luck

I mentioned shortly around six months ago that I have been diagnosed with a tumor on the head. Contrary to my neurologist's expectations, this tumor has grown a little bit, but is still very small and still does not cause any problems to me. A couple of months ago we discussed my latest MRI, my neurologist suggested surgery to me and I agreed. I will undergo surgery (craniotomy) next month. Just thought I'd mention, I might talk a bit more about this if anyone has questions on the surgery, etc.

I hope that everything is done in the best possible way, that everything goes very well, that the surgery is successful and that your recovery is quick and perfect, I really hope that this tumor does not return and that you continue with us for many, many years, you are a very important part of this forum, but what matters most is your well-being and your health, And I really hope that this will be confirmed after the surgery

A word of advice - you might want to play it just a little bit cooler than mango does on the Jimmy Carter thread. Otherwise he might think you are a psychotic lunatic and run a mile in the opposite direction!

(But best of luck with the date- hope it works out)

Wishing you all the best with the surgery. Hopefully your neurologist is just being precautionary and trying to deal with it early rather than wait until it has done some serious damage.

Out of curiosity, when you say "on the head", is it on the brain itself? I'm guessing so, given that its a neurologist involved. Have they diagnosed what type of a tumour it is?

Nerve tumor, likely (and hopefully) schwannoma. From what I understood it will be analyzed with frozen section procedure during the surgery to rule out other possibilities (paraganglioma is one that I remember was mentioned as an unlikely possibility). It's in an uncommon place compared to acoustic neuroma/vestibular schwannoma, but surgery should be very similar.
