Couldn't sleep, so thought I'd do a list again.

With the loss of both Gary Owens and Judy Carne this year from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, I thought I'd conjure up a list of those survivors who appeared in the show as credited regular or guest performers who appeared as such in more than one episode. It does not include people who appeared as characters they created elsewhere, and it does not include people who appeared as themselves.

The list has been taken from IMDB in order of most appearances to least, with a little help from Wiki and Google, so the usual disclaimers apply and as always, any constructive comment to flesh out the list is appreciated. Here are your surviving stars:

Ruth Buzzi (b. 1936)

Arte Johnson (b. 1929)

Lily Tomlin (b. 1939)

Jo Anne Worley (b. 1937)

Goldie Hawn (b. 1945)

Johnny Brown (b. 1937)

Barbara Sharma (b. 1942)

Ann Elder (b. 1942)

Pamela Rodgers (b. 1944)

Chelsea Brown (b. 1947)

Harvey Jason (b. 1940)

Moosie Drier (b. 1964)

Tod Bass (b. 1964)

Brian Bressler (b. ?) Still alive according to this article from June 2015: http://www.oregonlive.com/hg/index.ssf/2015/06/_40million-dollar_floating_house.html

Patti Deutsch (b. 1945)

Lisa Farringer (b. ?) Status Unknown

Sarah Kennedy (b. ?) Became a children's author, current status unknown (not the UK Sarah Kennedy).

Willie Tyler (b. 1940)

Sweet Dick Whittington (b. 1934)

Mitzi McCall (b. 1932)

Charlie Brill (b. 1938)

Roddy Maude-Roxby (b. 1930)

Chris Bearde (b. 1936)

Inga Neilsen (b. 1940)

Kaye Ballard (b. 1925)

Wow I'd heard of two of those people.

Shall I presume Laugh-In wasn't on the telly in the UK? Would it have been the first five names on that list would be household names, or the previous poster's comment was unique to their household.

I do wish that Twitter would stop using pictures of Tony Hall when they are talking about BBC cuts because at first glance I think that Roy Walker has just died.

It's good but it's not right

I've only heard of two of them as well. Probably the same two.

We didn't have BBC2 for a long time. You had to have a new-fangled telly to get it, and my parents didn't replace things till they stopped working altogether. A trait I seem to have inherited.

Yeah, as a guy who has far too much of his brain taken up with the minutiae of US pop cultural history, I know two "properly" (Hawn and Tomlin), and I know Arte Johnson had the catchphrase "very interesting... but stupid" via osmosis/watching Family Guy and The Simpsons. The rest of them, Christ knows.

Dick Sharples, writer probably best known for the sitcoms Hallelujah! and In Loving Memory and of the screenplay for the 1980 George And Mildred movie, has died at 88. https://writersguild.org.uk/dick-sharples-1927-2015/

Great name. Sadly we missed an opportunity to put a post in the Dickless thread. But it's all good.

Comedy writer Gordon Stretch is dead at 87:

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/whats-on-news/comedy-writer-gordon-stretch-died-10457582

He wrote for The Two Ronnies, Roy Hudd and Know Your Place. I admit, I'm stretching the limits of notability here.

Not at all gcreptile, thanks for letting us know. My comedy theme team needs these titbits.

That death occurred 6 months ago. Given that IIRC you're one of the Allah-akbar crowd on here I'm not really surprised you're so fucking slow. Must have the same unfortunate brain disease as Phantom.

Monday bbc1 at 9, has a ten year update on Stephen Fry since the original programme on his battle with bipolarity, manic street preachers etc.

Maybe insightful.
