French Robert Budzynski, who participated at the 1966 World Cup has died aged 83. He played France all 3 games as they were eliminated in the group stage.

Gunter Hermann who was in West Germany’s squad at the 1962 World Cup, is dead aged 83.

He was an unused substitute.

He is the second longest lived* and centenarian FIFA WC coach, after Mexican  Ignacio Trelles who died in 2020 aged 103.

Now the oldest living coach is Uruguayan José Santamaria , he is 94. He is also one of the last surviving players of the 1954 WC.
 

*  the death dates of three FIFA WC coaches are unknown : Cuban José Tapia and Czechoslovak Josef Meissner both of the 1938 WC and North Korean Myung Rye Rhun of the 1966 WC.

Hernan Carrasco was also the coach of the El Salvador national team from an older season still alive (1965-67 and 1970), I believe that this position now belongs to the Argentine Hector Alfredo D'Angelo (1972), although I have not been able to confirm that he still alive, if he had died it would be Salvadoran Mauricio Alonso "Pipo" Rodríguez Lindo (1973-74,1979-82)
