I only know a limited number of her songs but my parents and aunts and Uncles who of whom are boomers are very familiar with her and most like her. I honestly wouldn't know which genre of music is most financially lucrative but given the rapid expansion in podcasting I am wondering if long term that will become spotifys main business rather than musical? Podcasting seems to be a real expanding growth area .Most individual podcasts aren't as financially rewarding as Joe Rogans but in future I think big name podcasters are going to be almost as famous as household names in television. Yes there are some duds in podcasting like the so called royal rebels Harry and Meghan who seem to be a disappointment to Spotify but on the whole the sector seems buoyant. I wouldn't be at all surprised if podcasts end up being Spotifys core business rather than music eventually is what I am trying to say!! Music seems most profitable when it's live tours. Despite any opinion I may have on Joe Rogan I am not principled enough nor inclined to cancel my Spotify subscription Other people are free to do as they wish that's the much lauded virtue consumer choice and consumer power . Same goes for all the videos on the BBC website - as soon as I click on an item and see it leads to a video or audio thing I move on. Give me a couple of paragraphs to read instead.
