Lewd_Squirrel 331 Posted September 8, 2015 He turned 86, recently, & looks kinda ghastly. I tried to search & see if there was a thread for him, already, but nothing came up.
Sean 6,309 Posted September 8, 2015 Just looked on his twitter feed .Looks grim indeed.Another one for next years list I think.
Paul Bearer 6,099 Posted September 8, 2015 I could have sworn there was a thread for him. Definitely famous enough for it.
gcreptile 10,963 Posted September 8, 2015 I was recently thinking about him because of his Big Bang Theory guest role. But on TV, he looked ok. Yes, the twitter pictures are bad, but on the other hand, he is on twitter. Still, someone to keep in the back of your mind.
RadGuy 1,614 Posted September 8, 2015 Old people who look terrible but don't seem to have many health problems are the worst. :/ Add them or not, add them or not?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa????? Damn right he is!! He is part of my childhood with his brilliant comedic stories/monologues. Shame on ya toastie, shame on ya!!!!!! Spade_Cooley 9,513 Posted September 9, 2015 Bob Newhart's chances of dying presumably depend on if Shelley Berman dies two weeks beforehand.

No, I just think that there are far too many topics here, many overlapping. I feel that most individuals only justify their own topic if they are regularly newsworthy, or if they are known to be chronically or terminally ill. Thus the Royals are worth following because they are always in the news. People who lead somewhat self-destructive lifestyles, eg Gazza. Just being famous isn't enough - there needs to be guaranteed traffic, otherwise the thread stagnates and gets forgotten.

ajlposh 549 Posted September 5, 2018 I highly doubt Bob is going anywhere anytime soon. He’s been very active lately. I saw him perform last year and he killed with every joke. But then again, his friend Don Rickles was the same way at the end of his life
markb4 892 Posted October 5, 2018 National Enquirer is trying to imply that Bob Newhart is in his "final days". I definitely would take that with many grains of salt. https://www.nationalenquirer.com/photos/bob-newhart-dying-final-days/
markb4 892 Posted November 3, 2020 Did an interview with Ben Mankiewicz and looks really emaciated in the face. Maybe it's just age?

Definitely will have him in my Top 50 next year, if he makes it. His face is noticeably gaunt, and although he's still mentally very sharp, his voice is more hoarse-sounding as well. At least he showed he could stand up during the interview, but he unfortunately doesn't look good. 1
