YoungWillz 20,769 Posted December 31, 2015 Thanks guys. I've decided I may be coming home from the party later rather than a stopover as planned, so I'll leave it for now. I hope TMIB has got them and that he enjoys his NYE away from the email inbox!

Sir Creep 7,063 Posted December 31, 2015 Not sure what happened to my PM to TMIB....I am reading his inbox is full but why that would delete my conversation with him via PM I do not know. But it's gone. SC EDIT: Don't recall sending in an alternate for Howard Davis, but if I did just use it. if I didn't give me Nobby Stiles. There, it's in writing. I really am taking it up the arse for presuming my people would LIVE for 48 hours.

Sir Creep 7,063 Posted December 31, 2015 Here's what I sent in but -- there are now issues I've noticed and for some reason the PM I sent in has disappeared. 1. Main Team: I have NO idea if I provided an alternate (**if I did please refresh my memory and use said alternate) in Howard Davis Jr's stead. Thus, I'm inserting Nobby Stiles into that slot, meaning a lot less likely death (save it, you know what I meant) and about 25 years worse age point-wise. 2, I don't recall establishing a Joker for Theme Team Gris Gris. If I DID pick a joker I'd love to know who the hell it was. If not I guess rules say I'm stuck with first name, who happens to be the least likely to obit (UGH) though he's likely unique. msc 18,331 Posted January 1, 2016 Last year I finished in the top 40 for the first time ever, so let's see what I can do with this team. Pan Breed 2016 1. Joey Feek (joker) 2. Rene Angelil 3. Martin Crowe 4. Jenny Diski 5. Rob Ford 6. Eric Lubbock, Lord Avebury 7. Bishop Geoffrey Robinson 8. Joost van der Westhuizen 9. Mark Farren 10. Bonnie Brown 11. Rowena Kincaid 12. Howard Marks 13. Rev Sandy McDonald 14. Steve LaTourette 15. Keith Farnham 16. Andrew Smith (basketball) 17. Nobby Stiles 18. Dr Mark Sims 19. Phil Gartside 20. Kate Granger Esterhazy is the man I dropped at the last minute (he's even on the Deathrace version) so, expect obits for him anytime soon. Decided to risk a Mail obit for Smith, the Mail covered the US politicos so hopefully they'll come in well for me there. I had originally planned to go with Richard Smith, the British Medical journal's former editor, as my joker. However, as the deadline drew closer, I decided, while he might be unique, I had the gut feeling he might have exaggerated his condition earlier in the year so he could play devils advocate with his cancer articles. He still seems quite busy. Still, there shall be loud swearing from the direction of Scotland if he dies in 2016.

Must say something about doing even a modicum of research or something. Brinson/Christie/Ellis/Fekete were all cut from my final list of forty or so. Brinson due to a choice of candidates, Christie because I couldn't find out how bad his cancer was, Ellis because there was rumours he's doing better.
