Love Trump or hate him he is a great orator and very passionate, and doesn’t get confused mid sentence, I would rather De Santis was the nominee not Trump but I have no doubt Trump would live through a second term (bar assassination), I can’t say same about Biden

just look up "project 2024" and all of the fascist stuff in it. any republican winning would be beyond chaos right now

I am not here to cheerlead for Trump, imho he is an f*8***g idiot, no time for him at all even if I would be a republican if I was USA based but 4 more years of Biden is terrifying, he doesn’t seem to know if it is day or night yet is in charge of the nuclear briefcase

Riddled with dementia defo, would anyone think Prunella Scales or Nigel Starmer-Smith should be Uk PM?

possibly the funniest trump video ever because like look at him trying to understand smart stuff like magnets

I feel my brain atrophy every time I listen to Trump, so normally I don't. But I don't understand what kind of policy people are trying to derive from this. Like why does he even feel compelled to explain magnets? No one asked him to?

I watch Biden's speeches when they deal with a policy that impacts me directly (ie: student loans, women's healthcare), and I follow him fine and know what his positions are.

If one feels fulfilled by anything Trump says, I'm suspecting they either do not have any cares in the world or they severely lack an ability in identifying what their cares are. (or they just really passionately hate other people so damn much, and see Trump as Just the Man to fuck up everyone's life).

you were very clearly not American, and do not know how American government works, nor understand every day American concerns. Nor do you seem curious to. What the fuck is Biden going to do with the nuclear briefcase? Do you think he has to carry it around everywhere, and is going to stumble and fall and blow up the world? lol. It's not like he gave a speech a couple months ago about bombing Mexico.

The UK left/right doesn't correlate exactly to the two main American parties and system, just FYI. I don't know enough about American politics to give you the specifics, though.

"The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them." - Turkish proverb

Trump and similarly minded folk in a nutshell.

i follow biden's speeches when they deal with matters that impact me as well (ie: gender equality, the economy, etc) and honestly since trump is fully against such things (or is in favor of worsening those things), trump winning would mean that for 4 years all of our lives would be hell. and of course trump's supporters are all in favor of trump diminishing things like gender equality or women's healthcare since his white male fanbase cant relate to those issues nor do they have to care.

Rebuked by judge in civil hearing, when the judge asked if Trump wanted to be thrown out, Trump suggested he did.

Just another normal day of The Donald, then: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-68009461

Scary thing is that a sizeable percentage of American voters find this behaviour hilarious and endearing.

Agree, I don’t particularly like Trump as a person, would rather De Santis got the nomination, De Santis handled covid policy in Florida better than any politician bar the PM of Sweden

Biden not mentally fit for office, Trump morally and financially dubious, what a choice for USA in November

But if choice of those 2 I hope Trump gets in

I think it's time we all stopped pretending it's not going to be Biden vs Trump again.

DeSantis is the Jeb Bush of 2024, except even less charismatic.

The others might as well just be jostling to be his running mate at this point. Ramaswamy possibly most likely as he seems to have the most in common with Trump out of the other candidates (and has a less acrimonious relationship with Trump than someone like DeSantis).

I read an article saying he's seriously considering former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

According to a Republican elected official in PA who's also heavily involved in the national party, who a friend of mine knows - it's likely to be Haley - and that was just before Iowa...

Now, who knows? Tucker obviously doesn't widen his demographics enough (same with DeSantis, who probably couldn't even help Trump win Florida at this point). And both Haley and Ramaswamy court the Indian-American vote, but Haley is seen as more moderate to the wing of the GOP who may be leaning to not voting (or dare I say voting for anyone but Trump).
