Here's the scene- many of the actors were actual people who had fled Europe from the Nazis- they really meant it when they were singing that song-

Madeleine Lebeau shouts "Vive La France" at the end- the most famous scene she ever did

Comic book Artist, Darwyn Cooke has died, of Cancer.

So rather than post in the comic book thread OR supply a link...

[FTFY http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/2016/05/14/comic-book-artist-darwyn-cooke-dies/84371734/]

Why you acting like a damned newbie?

SC

One, numb nuts, I couldn't find the comic book thread, I tried looking for it. Two, I don't do links.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-36270946Scottish Jazz Musician Joe Temperley dies aged 86

Considering the lifestyle and amount of smoke in the air in jazz clubs back in the day it's amazing how many old jazzers see their eighties and beyond

Then you'll be delighted to know that the deliciously named jazz trumpeter , Paul Smoker, has died at the age of only 75..

I'm not sure if there is a dedicated thread for victims of crime, so I'm posting this here.

Valerie Storie died on 26 March. She was one of the victims of James Hanratty, who was hanged for the murder of her boyfriend in 1961.

Valerie survived being shot several times, but was left paralysed from the chest down. A grim business all round.

Hello. This is my very first post so I hope I'm the first to report this death, but I just found out the actor Paul McDowell has died aged 84. Some of you might remember him for playing the part of Mr Collinson in the tv series Porridge, which I loved ! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2016/05/20/paul-mcdowell-musician-and-actor--obituary/

edit- just found out it was reported previously somewhere else. just published the obit today though

Isn't there an odd sports thread somewhere?

Former GAA President Joe McDonagh has died, the Galway man passed away yesterday aged 63.

Mr McDonagh was president of the Association between 1997 and 2000 and won an All-Ireland Hurling Championship with Galway in 1980. Mr McDonagh's death comes less than two weeks since the passing of his predecessor Jack Boothman on 10 May, who served as president of the Association from 1994 to 1997.

I love coincidental deaths.

Erich Rudorffer died on April the 8th aged 98. He's my eleventh hit and I can remember you merged him, probably killing him during the process.
