Well here is a test case.  Almost put Don Hill on my DDP team but the obit possibility seemed too remote, depsite corruption, prison, and terminal illness.  It was only Dallas after all, and he was only an interim Mayor.  So now let's see if he obits.  Oddly -- this article's headline says he's dead but the story speaks of him in both the past- and present-tense.

Former Dallas Councilman Don Hill died Saturday night. Hill, convicted of corruption, was released from prison after being diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer.

Hill was serving 18 years in prison after being found guilty of bribery and extortion, among other charges in a high-profile corruption case in 2009.

His sentence is being commuted to time served. According to a motion filed by the U.S. Attorney’s office, Hill has a life expectancy of less than 18 months. Hill was expected to live with his brother and niece in DeSoto.

U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, has been diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer and will undergo surgery Wednesday to remove her right kidney.

The stage IV cancer was found during a routine physical, and it has spread to one of her ribs.  Hirono, 69, said she's being treated by a kidney cancer specialist at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Her treatment plan includes surgery to remove her kidney followed by an outpatient procedure to eradicate the lesion on her rib.

Nigel Forman, former Tory MP for Carshalton and Wellington who lost his seat in the 1997 Labour landslide has died. https://www.suttonconservatives.org.uk/news/remembering-nigel-forman

Interestingly he was a former PPS for Lord Carrington!

Lost to Tom Brake. Might have died days before the Tories win Carshalton back off Tom Brake.
