Aye, and what happened to Mark E Smith the year after the BBC did this? Get Burt on the 2019 list then.

Aye, well...

The Urban Dictionary defines that there reply as "a phrase used by insecure Xenophobes" in response to someone with a different set of values to themselves.

Obviously, I know you were being ironic and we're one big happy band of sickos hereabouts.

That's the same song that says...

It won't be long 'til A PENIS steps out to greet me," right?

He's been touring ....  Dead or alive?  You decide.

Was touring this summer but is apparently quite frail when not playing. The Guardian review of his July gig also refers to his frail manner.

Quote

With a full orchestra and guest vocalists, Bacharach performed songs from his iconic songbook to open the venue’s Summer Nights series. At 91 years old, and clearly quite frail, Bacharach still plays mellifluously.

A bit like how Dick Dale was in his final years. Had to be helped to the stage. once a guitar was placed in his hands, he was totally transformed

Definitely an interesting pick to bring to the list.

Yes, very classy, very Deathlisty. I don't know about his health, but I like him on the list.

Isn't he quite frail now? Seem to recall something about it.

EDIT - LOL I posted it 5 posts up in 2019...

He appeared in a video back in May:

Less frail than I was expecting, so I have immediately passed Bacharach’s spot over to Sonny Rollins on my potential 2023 shadowlist, though keeping Bacharach on my reserve list.

I thought he looked terrible, and that was back in May. Seems like he'll go for sure next year.
