gcreptile 10,963 Posted November 7, 2018 Short answer: No. A quick look tells me that even a gap of two weeks is extremely rare unless you go back to, and further back than 2006.
msc 18,434 Posted November 9, 2018 Was wondering who will be the rookie of the year, but 10 seconds looking suggests it's likely to be Grim, Grim, or ZZL (The Blight House). 10 seconds because I thought Grim had been in the DDP before.

Leah Bracknell or Marieke Vervoort jokers would possibly change that. Funnily enough I was looking at Scoreboard this morning and I think there hasn't been a hit in top 10 since 25th August so I keep waiting to plummet down the leader board but if no-one dies then I get to stay where I am

Simon Ricketts (Pity Da Foolz) - Had some bad news in the summertime, looks to be on the clock. And of course, he'll die to piss off all those that dropped him this year. So, if you ask me, I'd say the likely winner will be Pity Da Foolz. Still very active on Twitter with only 7 weeks of year left.

I had him on my theme team list for next year! Such is life, or, you know, death. RIP, I liked him.
msc 18,434 Posted November 19, 2018 I've only just twigged that the unique for William Goldman on the DDP is actually my own theme team! [A theme team I admit existed solely to get Steve Ditko on the DDP for the first time and he promptly snuffed it... although Guy Playfair getting one was cool too and Aelwyn Roberts should have but he never got a qualifying obit, only one from the BBC...] Actually got a sort of Reverse DDT streak on the go - 8 unique hits in the past 4 theme teams, but none at all ever for my main DDP team. Funny old world.

msc 18,434 Posted November 21, 2018 Pity da Foolz is about to take the lead at the top with 40 days left. Poor DI, is he going to slip up at the last hurdle again? Oh, and some guy from Glasgow moves to within 15 points of the top with the joker still in play - be afraid, folk, comeback's on! Hahaha PS RIP Devin Lima and all that. Death Impends 7,953 Posted November 21, 2018 Ah well. Unless a Clegg miracle does happen, onto next year for me. ETA I double checked and couldn't even make up the gap with Clegg, unless he does a Sadhana! Hah.

Anonymity here I come! After thinking I had Lima all year, turns out I was an idiot and decided he was a worse pick than any of my other terrible low-scoring hits. Anyway, I'm also relieved since I didn't have him on any of my long lists for next year after hearing about his surgery.
Spade_Cooley 9,515 Posted November 22, 2018 So which deaths right now would change the standings? Jose Jose, Fernando Ricksen or Marieke Vervoot (lol) would give BoB the lead. Tiffany Youngs or late pass obits for Cynthia Heimel or Ian Toothill would do for TJS. Greg Gilbert would give it to To Kill A Gabor Sister. I think that's it excluding unnatural deaths or Christmas Day carkings?
