Beats me why the world doesn't mad for this stuff; http://www.gonzomultimedia.co.uk/gonzo_web_radio.html A great show indeed. I meant to pass on my feedback after January's poignant List of the Lost programme - big respect for not forgetting the passing of Grant Hart. BTW MPFC, as a man on eclectic tastes, I was wondering if you may be conversant with the works of Eddie Shit? A Scouse chancer who didn't let an inherent lack of any musical talent whatsoever stop him from trying to build a career in music, based on singing covers with toilet themed interpretations Here he is supporting The Macc Lads ... 1

I think the album is definitely a great one though. One song in particular that I keep playing is The Lamia. That’s really such a great song, so great that I would add it to my Spring 2018 playlist... Only to remember that Spotify doesn’t have that album on Spotify. Grr. Makes it more disappointing that it’s the only Genesis album not on there...

Can't say I am - though The Macc Lads are well known to me. Oddly, this is a little unfortunate timing - I just recorded a show (definitely NOT a Strange Fruit show) as a one off for Gonzo which is wall to wall with stuff we couldn't play on normal radio. Mr Shit would have been ideal for it.

Olde time prog rocker and Genesis enthusiast, buff, maven, aficionado. Perfectly fine album and Carpet Crawler is one of their best, and I am unanimous in that. I used to play the shit out of it on the piano lol. (But Firth of Fifth is the funnest to play). SC

I understand that the overall quality of threads has decreased in recent weeks, but don’t think this is a pointless thread, especially since this brought a lot of replies from many different people that’s actually focused on the topic at hand... maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted April 28, 2018 One of my favourite blog sites offered up the work of 45 Grave this morning. Can't say I was too familiar before though it's attitudinal and highly charged deathrock; so it's got me through hanging out the washing (seriously). Got to respect their lead vocalist, mind - goes by the unforgettable name of Dinah Cancer

charon 4,943 Posted April 29, 2018 Was on nodding terms with Wattie for a decade or two. Cunt stole a PO van from outside my school in 82 I think, just cos he'd a gig in London he needed to be at. Years later he'd come into the shop I worked in to buy stuff. Good guy. Big john pretty much cracked it tho. Toured with Bon Jovi after Ritchie fucked his arm. But his Goodbye Mr McKenzie stuff was great.
