Would it make any difference if I told you that it is a construction beloved of the harridans on Mumsnet?

That one comment you made doesn't really make me appreciate your posts that much either. I still haven't blocked you though. Just Saying.

Even has the worst election Labour could imagine he'd manage to keep at least a hundred seats in the North East, North West, Wales and the Midlands where the majority's are massive.

Feel free to laugh at me, but I have a feeling that Jeremy Corbyn will do a lot better than anyone expects. I don't think he will be PM, but I think he'll do well enough to keep his job as labour leader , at least for another 2 or 3 years.

Laverne Andrews of The Andrews Sisters wouldn't sit under the apple tree anymore after this day 50 years ago, aged 55.

I'm struggling. Seeing a story on them being locked up, losing their job, losing all their money and property and having to live like the rest of us, there are plenty of contenders. But they don't in general. The Establishment protects them and positively rewards them...I still haven't read the stories about how Danny Alexander is homeless and having to get by with the help of food banks and charity handouts, how Ed Balls is volunteering to clean up his local district with nothing more than a Community Service Order to impel him to do so, or what colour hoodie David Cameron is currently wearing and whether it matches his electronic tag. That said, Thatcher and Cecil Parkinson's deaths give me nothing but pleasure to this day. But you did say "human" and the lack of compassion or soul of those particular two disqualify them from consideration. Most politicians of the last 25 years haven't contributed enough for me to take pleasure in their deaths. On the contrary, a lifetime of ongoing suffering would make me smile in a lot of cases.

I can never see the point of threads like this. People can only guess.

People are taking the King Michael health report too seriously. The truth is, nothing has really changed since last summer. He's just slowly rotting away. Of course, if he dies tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised. But I think it's likely he makes it another couple months. As for me, I voted for Errol Christie. No news is bad news.

Ok, so ( Toastie ) I pulled a muscle in my back last week while at work. I had the bastard thing all week until this morning when it seemed to disappear. Unfortunately, during an intensive vacuuming of the house, I pulled the bastard muscle again. FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

It was an interesting one too, but this thread is pretty much reliant around its host. Especially when some of us don't actually get round to the episodes till weeks after, depending on personal schedule. I think this is the first time this year I'm actually on the current weeks!

Kind of close to "wish they were dead" territory for me. Unless of course you mean to celebrate their lives of public service and dedication and the joy of their contribution to society.

Also *cough* election fraud *cough* means there may actually be a possibility.

After the shock of relying on fucking Villa of all people for the victory wore off, yes it's a shame we'll be the only PL club in the north east, especially when Middlesbrough promised so much early in the season. That said Sunderland have been walking with foot in hot coals for at least half a decade, so hopefully them going down will revive them, and it means we aren't automatically going to lose six points next season.
