Bloody Norah. I can't imagine knowing someone for 70 years let alone being married to 'em for that long.

Very sad news. Stan must be devastated losing his soul mate - they've been married since 1947 (!).

This is not good. It's common for the spouse to follow soon afterwards when they are pretty old.

100 people shot in Chicago alone over the Independence Day weekend. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-07-07/100-shot-and-14-killed-over-independence-day-weekend-chicago/8685912 UPDATE: Thought I'd compare modern Chicago to Al Capone's era and it is indeed far worse: http://abc7chicago.com/archive/8977635/ @RadGuy watch out for yourself, mate.

Paul's all over the stage when he performs and would most likely get garroted by Roger's microphone cord - I firmly believe that one of the reasons John E stood still while he played was to avoid getting smacked by a microphone. I also don't see Ringo kicking his kit off the riser and joining Pete in an orgy of destruction. So, no. Not in my reality.

They been married for 69 years. They didn't quite get married as soon as they met, but they weren't far off; getting married as soon as Joan was granted a divorce; most interestingly Stan was actually calling round Joan's house to take another woman out and ended up with Joan purely because she answered the door. http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/1229978/Re_Another_coakley_update

Italy's crazy people breathe sigh of relief they no longer need to deal with Morrissey.

The ironic thing is that Max Clifford would have been great at drumming up some publicity for Rolf, if he wasn't otherwise indisposed himself...

At 90, she'd be a fairly reasonable choice in a thematic DDP team, I never realized she's so much older than Sophia Loren. On the other hand, she's got two living sisters (b. 1924 & 1929) and still giving interviews – what do we know about her health?

Nah, because as I alluded to yesterday, it would prejudice against other younger posters who, even if they do show sometimes some age related tendencies at times, don't act like a complete cunt. I also oppose such a limit, but as I am 15, I might be a tad biased. This whole debate is really only because of immature 16-year-old MorbidKid. Joeyruss and I are 15, and we're both usually mature-ish. Bass and Dirtracer are our age, they also don't seem to be causing any problems. In fact, a lot of highly respected users were young when they joined. Estaurian Float was 15 when he joined in 2009, The Dead Cow just revealed he's turning 18, meaning he was 13 when he joined in 2012. There was also AngryGreatness who was 15 when he joined in 2011, but I don't know much about him or his behavior. Not to mentions all the cunty, immature, ADULTS like Zorders.

I went with Cyndi Lauper, cause you said shock death, & her death would be a shock, the rest on the list, not so much, per se.

i never really like Elton, Bowie was my idol, but not Elton....he does seem to have a similar past with overdose, illness and stuff...when he dies the whole planet will praise him and adore him. I think he'll get Bowie/Jackson kinda reaction from the public although he never got my respect as an artist like the two mentioned. I need to take a minute here have you just put David Bowie and Michael Jackson in the same artistic category??? haha no, that was the media reaction basket, nothing related to their music, although jackson got more attention The attention Jackson got focused on him as an individual where Bowie sent all the 45+ journalists into a morbid sense of 'oh my god David has gone all my formative years were spend wishing I was one quarter as cool as he was everyone else must feel the same' However the focus was on him as an artist which like him or loathe him he certainly managed to balance between the commercial success and the avant garde experimentation.

Just seen something on fb about Elton John donating a piano to St Pancras station and he turned up and played a few tunes. Over the past year or so he has really turned on a charm offensive either he is concerned about his kids growing up and thinking he is a completely arrogant tosspot or he is concerned about securing his legacy. Saw what happened with Bowie and thought 'what would they say about me?'

I was surprised Kwouk never turned up in a nice racially progressive, fully-rounded role in a Carry On film. Perhaps called something like Wan King or Slin Tee Eyes.
