He pretty much looks like he's sort of dead already. And if you just look at the list of his ailments you gotta ask yourself the question: 'Is there anything that still works in his body?'

There's no recent death or news item to create this thread, but there are a couple of really old, really rich people worth watching: Warren Buffett, 83, 4th richest person alive, has been in the news for choosing his successor at Berkshire Hathaway. Charles and David Koch, 78 and 74, 6th richest people alive, CEOs of Koch Industries, have massively funded conservative politicians in favor of fossil fuels. Bernie Ecclestone, 83, under corruption charges and threatened as boss of Formula 1 racing. George Soros, 83, 26th richest person alive, massive supporter of The Democratic Party, doesn't look too healthy but there are no bad news so far. Ingvar Kamprad, 88, Founder of IKEA, very secretive. DEAD Sheldon Adelson, 80, Las Vegas casino magnate, another guy who spends millions of dollars on politicians to ensure that society will go on in a way he thinks is best even after his death Karl Albrecht, 94, 23rd richest person alive, Germany's richest guy and co-founder of ALDI, his brother died last year. When will it be his turn? DEAD Liliane Bettencourt, 91, 11th richest person alive and richest french person, owner of L'Oreal, was involved in a corruption scandal and legal trouble with her daughter. DEAD Also worth watching: The Walton Family, owners of Wal-Mart and maybe even Bill Gates who is still only 58, but looks much older, in my opinion.

McGrains not deid ya loon. Most famous for being the punchline to the joke about the girl that had two tattoos of players on her inner thighs. "Naw sure about the left or right one, but the middle ones Danny McGrain". Re Wilson tho LFN, I 'think' he was the only non white to get capped for Scotland in 20th Century.

For a minute there I honestly thought you were talking about Elton John's writing partner. Then I realized that it was the wrong thread...

I have never heard of him. The only legendary Scottish Celtic player I really know is this fella.. A legendary hard bastard and top player that always made me think he was on the IRA council or summat. A footballer totally loyal to his one and only club ( apart from the Accies and they don't count) they don't make men like him anymore. Respect.

No, North of the wall does have some outstanding beauty, no doubt about it.

Thing is lfn , I grew up on West Coast. Never saw one. Spent a week on jura , the otter capital of Europe apparently. Not a sniff. Seen a few in my time further North, including a big bastard of a dog otter on a beach chomping a fish. I stopped the car because I thought it 'was' a dog. A few times at work seeing a mum with pups playing on ropes in water but this was mental. Clear out the water like dolphins. I've watched seals do it on occasions, but never knew otters could/did. Video/gif shite, but I have the mind picture of closer. Can't beat North of the Wall.......

^^ saw this today. The wee splashes were two baby otters chasing one another, but totally leaping out the water like dolphins. They were as close as about 30 yards, but by the time I'd dropped the oilies and shite I was carrying they moved off. One of the coolest wildlife things I've seen at work.

I will of course, although many sadly won't be. The first episodes are 11th February 1980 and 27th April 1990 though; so there could be some good pickings for deadpooling in them. EDIT: Update to this; they are now starting from 1986 and going in order.

Lotfi A. Zedah, an Azerbaijani-American mathematician and theorist, has died at the age of 96. http://www.ibna.ir/en/doc/naghli/250978/iranian-theorist-of-fuzzy-logic-dies To quote his Wiki article: He is best known for proposing the fuzzy mathematics consisting of those fuzzy related concepts: fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic, fuzzy algorithms, fuzzy semantics, fuzzy languages, fuzzy control, fuzzy systems, fuzzy probabilities, fuzzy events, and fuzzy information. Sounds like a bit of a know-it-all. Time for his fuzzy funeral...

Must see on Jan 5th, Channel 4, Cutting Edge show 'Saving Gazza.' Harrowing documentary following his ex-wife and family attempting a reconciliation earlier this year. Said to show close up the fragmented state of his mind and body, or summat. I'm picking the final two DDP places from about 4 candidates and currently favouring his inclusion on the grounds that he genuinely is that far gone and may well have less than 12 months to live.

The combination of Richard O'Brien and death makes it very appealing to me. Pity I live so far out of the way

Aiya! If you are laying in the biscuits and hot chocloate, won't that hurt??? I cannot think of a biscuit which would not hurt if you lay in it, even if there is a lot of whipped cream! If I had to lay in some biscuits, I'd choose maybe "digestives"; they might be at least good to "exfoilate" the skin
