Bowie's was the bigger death.. Prince was a midget. Interesting stuff though. Possibly somewhat skewed if one is trying to answer precisely 'who is more famous?' by using wiki hits. As in the case of Kate Spade perhaps, some of this is people hearing about it and saying "who?" and wiki is the first port of call. Also there's probably an age bias as well, MTM might be much more famous than XXXXtenacious or lil peep but more so with those of an age less likely to be looking her up on the net. The author does acknowledge it's not definitive. And it's nicely presented.

https://pudding.cool/2018/08/wiki-death/ Kinda interesting-ish piece on spikes in Wikipedia editing and views after a celebrity dies. Does answer the question of whose death was bigger, Prince or David Bowie's.

Perhaps this really could do with a re-vamp and some hard thought and might garner more interest. I'd suggest something along the lines of The Generation Game. Pick so many names, first one to have all their team dead wins, maybe open it up to Dames as well as Knights. Therefore needs fairly little oversight and chunters along merrily until a winner gets announced. Obit requirements could be as stringent (DDP for example) or loose (Hare's/Deathrace) as the runner decides.

Well, the emus did win a war against the Australian army, so they’re bound to have a few decent candidates to put up. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emu_War

OK, don't think anybody had Asia Argento in the sweepstakes.

The only meaning it has is whether or not a name makes the DeathList's DDP team. 1-20 makes it, the rest doesn't.

Aye, and have you seen this guerilla army?

I am in the same boat. I don't wish death upon her, but when she dies, that will be a HUGE historical day unlike any we've seen in our lifetime, so it does get the heart pumping a bit.

Arleen MacNeil at 46. Sole survivor of a Canadian robbery turned massacre in 92, she lived wheelchair bound for 26 years after taking a bullet to the head leaving her fucked. The main dood in the massacre is out and doing just fine as of six years ago. Dats justice for you. http://canadianews.org/capebreton/2018/08/19/393719-lone-survivor-of-sydney-river-mcdonalds-murders-has-died.html
