4 pointsOh no..... that sucks. I met him and had a right lovely conversation with the man about hockey, sports law, etc. A very nice and accommodating individual, little pretense whatsoever, given his stature. RIP SirC

2 points"McCririck, 78, was the face of British horseracing for as long as anyone can remember." Cheers, that makes me feel ancient. I remember watching racing on TV for years before McCririck showed up. There used to be Julian Wilson on BBC, and ITV had John Rickman, a genial old boy who always wore a trilby hat, which he courteously used to raise when signing off at the end of the programme.

2 pointsHere's a sentence whose meaning is entirely changed by a misplaced comma. "He is also suspected of murdering his first wife Kathleen McCormack Durst, who went missing in 1982 and is accused of murdering Susan, who was shot in the head in Beverly Hills, California, shortly before she was set to speak to investigators about Kathleen’s disappearance. 1 pointPlot twist to the whole metoo campaign: Kevin Spacey rapes Harvey Weinstein, and is suddenly seen as a hero and inspirational figure all around the world. They build statues of him, name streets after him, and an annual award called The Kevin Spacey KBE Anti-Predatory Behaviour Award is established.

1 pointSome french possibilities : - Micheline presle - Jacques Delors - René de obaldia (i feel like it’s His time this year) - soulages (idem) - Claude Sarraute - Jacques dessanges - Uderzo - Laurent de Brunhoff - Michel Piccoli - Roland Dumas (definitely !!) - Jean Marie Le Pen (the rumor of his death and his hospitalisation maybe good hints) - Jean Louis Trintignant (has stopped chimiotherapy and is « ready to die » as he Said in july, my personal strongest bet for 2019, should be on the official list) - Philippe de Gaulle - zappy Max - Edgar Morin - Philippe Jacottet - Françoise gilot - Judith Magre - Michou - lucettes destouches, Robert marchand, renee simonot, Hubert de lapparent : HOW THE FUCK ARE THEY STILL ALIVE ?? - Édouard Balladur - Georges loinger ( not enough famous to be part of the list i guess but still acurate...) - Suzy Delair (is she the new Danielle Darieux or gisele casadesus ?) - Anouk Aimée - greco of course What do you think ??

1 pointKudos for having the strapline a Pogues song. Blowing my own trumpet for the luckiest hit, Lindsay Kemp in the Silver Screen pool. Wasn't my first choice of film, so picked him once I'd got two others who won't make old bones. Hadn't heard of him in years, but 6/7 days later its gif

1 pointI'm just curious as to whether her conversion will miraculously cure her of her mental health issues or mental health issues can be the trigger in people becoming religious. Maybe.

1 pointWhy should paddyfool 'consider fucking off from here'? Because you don't agree with him, perhaps? What a stock LFN response: predictable, abuse-laden bile. Have you considered being any less belligerent and bilious towards other people on here? No? Perhaps give that some consideration please. Don't bother replying to this, it'll only be another unnecessary stream of vitriol. Probably accusing me of being a snowflake or Z or a similarly obvious and nauseating response.

Barancik (b. 1924) Nicholas Defino (b. 1924) Motoko Fujishiro Huthwaite (b. 1927) Rouben Sami (b. 1921)

1 pointTBH even if he's a "mere" 100 that doesn't make his ability to rebound from hospital trips like nothing any less impressive.

1 pointHe is being heavily played on Radio 2 over the past few weeks so I think there is new material. I just try to avoid listening to it.
