Jerry Lee Lewis celebrated his debut on The Crowdsourced Deathlist by snuffing it aged 87. The rock and roll wildman popularised wild piano scores such as Great Balls of Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On. However, his career was badly hurt when it was revealed he had married his 13-year-old cousin, and his nickname of The Killer looked unfortunate when two of his wives died within 14 months of each other in the 1980s. That's pure Robert Durst bad luck, that is. He was arrested for shooting his bassist accidentally, and for not killing Elvis in the 1970s. In later life he married his previous 13-year-old bride's sister-in-law, and had a different kind of stroke, which led to his spot on this list.
In 2017, Vince McMahon, on a whim, decided to call a PPV Great Balls of Fire, assuming the song was out of copyright. Legal matters with the elderly rock and roll star were sorted ahead of time, however, when it turned out that Jerry Lee Lewis and wrestling commentator Jerry "the King" Lawler shared the same lawyer.
Of course they did.
