https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/only-working-royals-allowed-balcony-29641046 Nothing especially revelatory here but I thought it was worth highlighting/ drawing attention to on a deadpooling forum. In this article about which members of the royal family will be on the balcony for the Coronation it says that that sources claim the attendance of the Duke of Kent and his sister Princess Alexandra won't be confirmed until the actual day owing to individual health problems.

Sabu had a serious health scare at a recent convention and had to pull out of the rest of it. Seems to be doing better though.

Historically I'm always surprised to re-learn that the list missed George Harrison (I thought he was known to be gravely ill before 2001?) and Princess Margaret. The latter of which was the topic of an argument between Cmme members on this very forum at one point long ago, as allegedly the Cmme meeting was adamant Margaret should be on the 2002 list, yet she didn't make it. Amusing. I remember the d'oh drops (Ernest Borgnine, Jack Klugman, Captain Beefheart, Richard Attenborough) and the folk who would have been DL mainstays but died too young (Roger Moore, Adam West) more than folk who were never on the list tbh. Though I'm still surprised Tony Benn missed out. Hugely famously, known to be ill for a year or two before he went, felt utterly DLy. Never picked. Howard Marks too, but then, some folk believed his "slow cancer down with all the weed" talk, despite some of us who believed in the power of free curly wurlys that never arrived Stage IV cancer.

I actually think I read somewhere that June Carter was actually a distant relative of Jimmy Carter.

You are correct considering that Jimmy is receiving hospice, although in the most recent pictures i've seen of her, she looked quite frail. Physically, she looks to be in rougher shape than the Queen looked this time last year.

Hart clearly has a hairpiece and spraytan, possibly dentures, and I bet if you took those sunglasses off he’d look like the Crypt Keeper, but energy-wise he hasn’t lost a step. I think he’s gonna be one of those guys that suddenly ages 4 decades at once when it’s finally time for him to go.

Now I'm generally of the view that folk who have to tell you how much sex they're having really aren't shagging much at all. That said, here's the latest from the world of Marty Jannetty where he rants about his girlfriend being upset by his number of girlfriends only to be distracted and start a tribute to the much missed Curt Hennig. Drugs are one hell of a drug. I do like Fightful saying at least he didn't try and confess to murder this time he was high. Almost tempted to add him to my DDP team because he won't see 68.

Mentioned in the Elizabeth II thread before but more appropriate here as he was a biographer of a number of Royals... Philip Ziegler (wiki) dead from cancer at 93. Times obit. A unique DDP hit.

Yes, the most famous being Stirling Moss, who was in a coma for a month following his 'unexplained' accident in a Lotus (well, it's not as if Lotuses were prone to have bits fall off them) at Goodwood in 1962. No point asking Sir Stirling about it though, he can't remember a thing. I guess that's what happens when half your brain detatches itself from your skull...
