Putin 423 Posted April 29, 2021 So now that Collins is dead, Aldrin is now the only one still alive of the crew to Apollo 11. Aldrin's health is not good. Mental illness disorders... depression... addiction. Buzz believed he inherited depression from his family. Aldrin's mental health struggles led to deeper problems with heavy drinking and alcoholism. And... In 2016, he was visiting Antarctica as part of a tourist group when he was evacuated out of the South Pole for his condition deteriorated. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Sean 6,309 Posted April 29, 2021 Aldrin seems in very good health for 91 from what I can see.Yes he had issues of addiction and mental illness but he has been sober for many years and depression whilst horrible won`t necessarily increase likelihood of death.That being said Aldrin will be 92 next year and at that age, things can change quickly.For now though I think he is doing quite well still.
