Something that stands out this year is that the # of world's oldest type picks is low (just the top two). I remember years back people used to pick loads of the supercentenarians off of the top 100 list on Wiki. If we ignore Fauja Singh and Virginia McLaurin, there are no longevity myth picks either (i.e. world's "oldest" man at 124 from village in India type picks). Have the new rules disallowed such names or are people just getting smarter with their picks over time?

We've reached the 275 hits of last year, with slightly fewer teams. While the record is still 4 hits away, we haven't lost any firepower. The Pritzker Prize winning architect "should" get a QO, but it may come too late. I kind of have the feeling that at least one shortlister still has to go. So it goes down to the wire.
