This is an old video from 2019, but she still has been invited as a guest for the final evening on Saturday.

Ok so now, this one is a new vidéo from her yesterday, performing L’appuntamento. Seems quite frailer than in the previous one I posted some days ago. A year or two maybe but not much more. And this lip surgery… looks like Madonna

I saw her yesterday. Physically she looked like a monster, she didn't seem to be very lucid and she asked for artichokes instead of flowers LOL Yet, I believe 2023 is not her year.

Oh poor Ornella, I really love her. She has disminished quite rapidly I think but she probably can last one more year I think (at least I hope, so I can put her on my list)

lucky you, you were at Sanremo

Several big American film directors come to mind, namely Roger Corman, James Ivory and Norman Jewison.

The Brazlian Musician has had a lot of health problems since suffering a stroke in 2017, and frequently been in and out of the hospital since.Has lost a ton of weight and now requires full time care.  Last year family members were saying he was getting better due to "Hemp Oil" treatments.

Realized that quite a few people from the early days of Thomas The Tank Engine are still around, not just Ringo.

Christopher Awdry - Son of The Rev. Wilbert Awdry. 82 years old and looked frail in an appearance back in 2015, not really any news since then.

Britt Allcroft - 80 years old. Creator of the television series. Still quite active online.

Robert Cardona - 92 years old. Produced the first two series of the show. Hardly notable so only worth considering for the more lenient dead pools.

Michael Brandon - Not involved in the early days of the show, but narrated the American version of the show for a long time.

Junior Campbell - Composed the music for the early seasons along with Mike O'Donnell (who's not notable).

Hmm - an update up to 90 then. There's about 40 living possibles from 1934 alone still. Also, the Cmme picks have opened up a few other names.(If anyone else has done a Gerald Harper and changed their public DOB - fuck them, its a ball park, not an exact science...)

1919 - June Spencer (but imo she'd have been on the list by now)

1923 - Glynis Johns (but ditto)

1924 - Eva Marie Saint, William Russell

1925 - Davie Graham, June Lockhart, mayyybe Ysanne Churchman

1926 - Roger Corman, Norman Jewison, Gudrun Ure, Lee Grant (born around then), Glen Michael (based on Cmme's love of 70s TV stars)

1927 - maybe Estelle Parsons or William Daniels

1928 - Tom Lehrer, Hans Blix, James Watson, Peter Cellier, James Ivory, Dr Ruth

1929 - Patricia Routledge, Len Deighton, Winnie Ewing, Thelma Barlow, Stuart Hall, Peter Higgs, John Nettleton, Joan Plowright, Vera Miles, Berry Gordy, Frank Gehry, John Woodvine, Jerry Hardin, Gaston Glock

1930 - Tippi Hedren, Buzz Aldrin, Gene Hackman, John Astin, Clint Eastwood, Gena Rowlands, Bernie Ecclestone, Warren Buffett, James Baker, George Soros, Eileen Derbyshire, Clive Revill, Sandra Day O'Connor, Mary Quant

1931 - Gerald Harper, James Earl Jones, Don King, Rupert Murdoch, William Shatner, Kenneth Cope, Dan Rather, Ken Bates, Virginia McKenna, Claire Bloom, Roger Penrose,  Leslie Caron, Rita Moreno

1932 - Piper Laurie, John Williams, Bill Roache, Petula Clark, Roy Hattersley, Quentin Blake, Bernard Ingham, Dabney Coleman, Ray Reardon, Joel Grey, Brian Murphy

1933 - Kim Novak, Duchess of Kent, Michael Caine, Sian Philips, Joan Collins, Joan Bakewell, Cormac McCarthy, Julie Newmar, Roman Polanski, David McCallum, Michael Dukakis, Michael Heseltine, Michael Aspel, Sheila Hancock, Quincy Jones, Derek Martin, Robert Blake, Biddy Baxter, Barbara Knox

I'd add Mahathir Mohamad to 1925, got a lot of attention from BBC last year, if he keeps being a controversial powerhungry asshole maybe one day. However I don't think he'll live another year or two. But I think there's a chance he could end up on the list, atleast it at this point seems more likely than the Committee ever realizing Glynis Johns and Eva Marie Saint are still alive...

From the remaining world leaders born in the 1920s I think he's also the most likely pick. Personally I don't think they'd ever pick Giorgio Napolitano, Ali Hassan Mwinyi, Tomiichi Murayama, Sam Nujoma or any of those others.

Question, is there a chance they'd ever pick, for example, Paul Dooley? Katherine Jackson? Pat Robertson? Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, Isabel Peron?

Edit: Sidney Cooke?

I suppose, but then again Sandra Day O'Connor was suggested and they're pretty similar in levels of fame (at least to me) and it's not like Feinstein is a nobody, been in the Senate since 92 (3rd longest of the current 100 senators), first woman from California, has been making the news recently due to her health, should be the current President pro-tempore.

They picked Tim Johnson in 2007.

Feinstein is far more notable.

O'Connor is the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court so I would say is unquestionably notable enough.

Feinstein as you say passes the fame criteria as she is a long term Senator and has been quite a presence in Washington. When she dies be it today or in 15 years she will get an obituary from all the national news sites in the UK and it will most likely be mentioned on all news bulletins of the day albeit later in the programme depending on the news on said day.

What about Carol Burnett?

She feels a very committee pick due to their love of USA Tv.

Yeah but 2007 was an extremely weird list in general

On the subject of O'Connor, was there ever any real push for John Paul Stevens to make the list? Seems odd he never made it given his high profile and extreme age.

EDIT: I see he was only on two DDP teams when he died. Guess he wasn't that popular.

At the risk of repeating myself, Bernadette Chirac. I can't see her surviving the year though.
