Thatcher 2,453 Posted June 2 Keir Starmer refuses to take part in the BBC debate with all 7 parties scheduled for 7th June. He will do a head to head with the Prime Minister on 26th June and a Question Time special on 20th June. BBC trailing the 7th June debate as ‘party leaders’, so ball firmly back in their court as to whether they empty chair him or loosen it to allow a party representative instead. En Passant 3,748 Posted June 2 You can't win in a debate with Binface. Never going to happen, it's the very definition of lose lose. And that's assuming his policies aren't actually better than yours, which they may well be. And were, when I answered that questionaire!

In the BBC's article, it states: "The party representatives for the BBC's seven-handed debate have not yet been announced. But it will take place in front of an audience which reflects the broad electoral map of Great Britain." 34 minutes ago, En Passant said: You can't win in a debate with Binface. Binface won't be in a party leaders debate. I know 7 sounds a lot but Count Binface is a few places further down in the popular parties list (but climbing!)

Brad252 819 Posted June 2 If there's a Northern Ireland party debate and the DUP and Sinn Fein turn up, someone should ask them: "So if you're happy to turn up to this, why can't you turn up to Parliament when necessary?" (DUP/SInn Fein when one of them shuts down Stormont, and Sinn Fein's Westminster Abstentionism) ''

YoungWillz 21,138 Posted June 2 Meantime it is being reported in big headlines that the Tories will define your sex as biological gender and enshrine that in law. (Makes it sound like soap powder). Anyhow, I'm not sure what that has to do with the cost of living, the NHS, bringing energy bills down, reducing inflation and interest rates, increasing teachers, defending the country, reducing legal and illegal migration, reducing the backlog of asylum seekers' claims, filling your potholes or even making the trains run on time. But I'm sure that's what the great British public want to discuss. Man's a fucking lunatic.
The Old Crem 3,621 Posted June 3 That would put the turnout at 60%.

YoungWillz 21,138 Posted June 3 Shadow Defence Secretary John Healey had better learn how to say "adversaries" before the next Government, if it is Labour. Tripped over it twice. Shades of George Bush Jnr when he couldn't say "nuclear".

Thatcher 2,453 Posted June 3 Farage to make an ‘emergency general election announcement’ at 4pm. Can only presume he’s donning his flip flops and has now decided to stand himself and will resume leadership of Reform. He couldn’t possibly see all that debate airtime up for grabs and let it slip by, could he? Clacton is looking for a candidate after their current one was embroiled in an antisemitism scandal.

The Old Crem 3,621 Posted June 3 According to the Telegraph the announcement is being made at a London press conference. Does that rule out him running in Clacton? Makes me wonder if it’s an electoral pact with the Tories. Another rumour is he is standing in Hartlepool,
