Perhaps he's just tired of it, as it's overplayed.  The Stranglers have tons of terrific songs, but all we ever seem to hear is Golden Brown.

Once when I went to see them JJ gave the audience a choice between Golden Brown and La Folie.  La Folie won by a landslide.  Great song, a rarity, and I didn't need to hear GB again.

Perhaps he's just tired of it, as it's overplayed.  The Stranglers have tons of terrific songs, but all we ever seem to hear is Golden Brown.

Once when I went to see them JJ gave the audience a choice between Golden Brown and La Folie.  La Folie won by a landslide.  Great song, a rarity, and I didn't need to hear GB again.

That's it in a nutshell. There are numerous other Stranglers tracks I'd choose to listen to before that one.
