Grimgrass 573 Posted December 31, 2024 It's up! Pretty decent list imo.
Fox B 46 Posted January 1 Looks ok at first glance. Great to see Yoko and Attenborough back and some great new additions. Do think they should have picked Peter Yarrow tho.
Insane 360 Posted January 1 Great list, the only thing I’m genuinely surprised about is Asma al-Assad being on it, I get the reasoning behind it however.
Dying Probably 649 Posted January 1 Wow, nobody I'm going "holy feck, WHO?!" at. *AHEM WALTERS AHEM*
Joey Russ 7,319 Posted January 1 Genuinely shocked they kept Sonny Rollins I thought for sure he was gonna be one of the drops off the list. But Flack and Brokaw aren’t great drops…
Grimgrass 573 Posted January 1 The drops: Pope Francis James Whale Vanessa Redgrave Denis Law Julie Walters Tom Brokaw Louis Farrakhan Norman Tebbit Willie Nelson Daniel Barenboim Roberta Flack Dick Cheney Josef Fritzl Brigitte Bardot Raul Castro Ted Turner Sly Stone Tom Baker Joe Bugner
Summer in Transylvania 2,366 Posted January 1 They dropped Roberta Flack? Tebbit? Brokaw? The additions are good, but the drops are not. Peter Yarrow should have been on, too.
Book 3,676 Posted January 1 Wow, Eva Marie Saint in at No. 2, not bad!
Lafaucheuse 4,260 Posted January 1 Eva Marie saint at last ! Fabulous
Steve 714 Posted January 1 Denis Law, Roberta Flack and Tom Brokaw crazy drops but pleased to see Tippi Hedren, Yoko Ono and Rex Williams on the list.

msc 18,676 Posted January 1 First immediate though - Denis Law, Tebbit, Willie Nelson and Roberta Flack are risky drops!
Stogiagio 42 Posted January 1 Inserting a 101-year-old is somewhat Absurd
Fox B 46 Posted January 1 Agree that Flack, Brokaw and Law are bad drops but honestly they were basically fucked no matter what having to drop 19 names.
Stogiagio 42 Posted January 1 It's more like a nonagenarian list anyway
Brad252 861 Posted January 1 Harvey Weinstein - Sex Offender Stuart Hall - Sex Offender No mucking about with the descriptions here. Murdoch will also be a widely welcomed hit I reckon on top of these two, should they occur this year. Also interesting to see Assad's wife go straight into this list off the back of her latest health news.
DoorSlammer 603 Posted January 1 At first glance decent additions. I wonder who Walker's replacement is. Stuart Hall? @Grim Reaper
tracy 2,520 Posted January 1 Looks extremely safe compared to last year, which I guess is understandable. Don't really understand bringing Dickinson and Linden back or adding Armani and Ecclestone. Of all the potential picks/returnees, those seemed very low priority. Brian Wilson returning is fair enough, but he probably has a few years left. The Rex Williams return is cute. I'm very pleased they didn't miss out on Saint or Lovell, but there was very little chance they were going to after this year. Attenborough and Hurd are also welcome returns. The drops are extremely bizarre, although I advocated for extremely bizarre drops just because they were gonna be screwed no matter what, so whatever. But I still scratch my head at cutting Flack, Brokaw, and Turner and leaving Brooks, Routledge, and Eastwood on the list. I doubt the Brits on here will be pleased that Tebbit isn't on the list either. Stuart Hall strikes me as pretty risky. Not that I know much about him, but people seem quite confident he will die off radar. My gut feeling: 0 hits. I dunno after last year who's to say. 4
msc 18,676 Posted January 1 Valli, Lovell, Goodyear, Boycott, Ian Smith and Tippi seem good new picks. Glad to see our man Attenborough back.
Grimgrass 573 Posted January 1 Ono, Attenborough and Hurd are good returnees. Dickinson and Linden not so much. Unsure on Williams and Wilson. Cheney was finally dropped! Pleased Routledge stayed on. Asma al-Assad is the most surprising newcomer imo.
namelesshere 12 Posted January 1 Tom Baker looks like a dubious drop... his recent MBE stinks of "oh fine i'll accept it at last, but only because I won't be here for long" - he has surely been offered an MBE before.
Zsa Zsa's leg 918 Posted January 1 No Yarrow or Ditka?
Brad252 861 Posted January 1 "Should the committee be replaced with AI? Time will tell if DeathList 2025 signals a return to form and can Make DeathList Great Again!" Lol'd at this bit in the summary.
Deathrace 1,203 Posted January 1 By my reckoning 41 out of 50 are 90 or over. Probably the oldest list ever.
