Phantom 2,533 Posted February 11, 2014 I dunno if it's been announced on here, or not, but Julia Roberts' half sister, actress Nancy Motes has died, of an apparent overdose. It was announced here yesterday on the The Fringes of Fame/Family of the Famous thread

stonecold 51 Posted March 3, 2014 Watching the Oscars... Sidney Poitier is looking quite frail - didn't realise he was 87 and may be a good contender for next year's DL.
Vaagheid 141 Posted March 3, 2014 Agree about Poitier... eventhough i thought that Kim Novak looked even worse...
Dr. Zorders 1,271 Posted March 3, 2014 Did any of the old timers appear on stage? Last time I actually watched was 2011 and watching Kirk Douglas and Eli Wallach stagger onto the set was basically the only highlight.

stonecold 51 Posted March 3, 2014 Did any of the old timers appear on stage? Last time I actually watched was 2011 and watching Kirk Douglas and Eli Wallach stagger onto the set was basically the only highlight. It was quite a lame show this year even though it drew massive ratings. The remembrance wall seemed quite long this year and a bit pissed off that gave the druggy Phil Hoffman the prime final spot. Why do people glorify fuckwits that stick needles in their arms? Anyhooo... do we have a thread for overdose deaths? I couldn't find one through the search engine.

time 8,602 Posted March 12, 2014 Last surviving star of 'Hogan's Heroes', Cynthia Lynn. Not quite (from above) "Hogan's Heroes" was one of the most popular shows of its time, running from1965-1971. We did some checking, and Robert Clary ... who played Cpl. Louis LeBeau ... appears to be the final cast regular still living. TMZ seemed to be editing their report as they did their checking!

Speed doesn't kill, acceleration does. That's weird, I thought coke was the big drug in Hollywood. Oh, that speed. That does indeed kill, although not as fast as the name suggests. regards, Hein
