Despite ill health, president Ford and his wife Betty posed with a picture of the Bush's. In this case, only Mrs. Carter appeared with the Biden's in front of her home. I suspect he is not well. Ford wasn't that unwell 8 months before his death - when Bush visited him. He became unwell that summer.

Maybe if you put as much attention into remembering how your own family are doing health wise or giving them a call, you wouldn't need to waste your spare time reminiscing about the ill health of celebrities on a forum full of the worlds creeps and loners. 1

Miranda lass 98 Posted May 30, 2021 Their son (i think), turns 74 on the fourth of july. Possibly making him the oldest person with both their parents.

That's an interesting trivia question. Historically, the record probably goes to Alyce Fisher, daughter of the longest-married couple in history: https://gerontology.wikia.org/wiki/Herbert_Fisher,_Sr. (Karam and Kartari Chand might actually have had wrong dates, they are not Guinness Book confirmed.) Alyce Fisher died at 85, and was survived by both parents. 1 1

He needs to slow down his speech back to his Georgian drawl, he's hard to understand in some parts. They look their age, but they look great.
arghton 6,701 Posted July 6, 2021 Both sound frail and unclear, Jimmy more unclear than Rosalynn. On the good side, both (especially Jimmy) seem sharp for a person their age, as Rosalynn will be 94 in August and Jimmy will be 97 in October.

arghton 6,701 Posted July 17, 2021 Interesting how Carter's 1976 presidential campaign manager and pollster are both dead and died in their 60s: Hamilton Jordan (1944-2008) was Carter's campaign manager and later Chief of Staff. He died in 2008 at the age of 63 from perinoteal mesothelioma. Patrick Caddell (1950-2019) Pollster. Died in 2019 after a stroke. Carter-Mondale Policy Planning Group head Jack Watson (b. 1938) is still alive. Later worked for Monsanto. Carter's 1980 campaign manager Timothy Kraft (b. 1941) who resigned over accusations of cocaine use is also still alive. Still some people alive Carter could outlive.

InquilineKea 75 Posted July 18, 2021 Quote She is 93 and he is 96. And they are frail. The years have done what enough years will do. They were not “still standing” when 300 people came to their town of 640 to celebrate them. They were sitting. And the former president spoke haltingly. But their spirits were undiminished. And they lifted up those who came to pay them homage. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter celebrated 75 years of marriage last weekend — in the local high school gym of Plains, Georgia. Man they call it a "rare interview" already. Those weren't rare 2.5 years ago...
