A tourist Wednesday evening miraculously survived after falling off a 300-foot cliff into Hawaii's Kilauea volcano and landing on a narrow ledge about 70 feet below. The man, whose identity has not been released, allegedly climbed past a metal railing at the Steaming Bluff overlook and got extremely close to the edge before losing his footing and tumbling into the volcano's caldera, according to a statement from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Rescue crews found the severely injured man around 9 p.m., airlifted him out of the caldera using ropes and a Department of Defense helicopter and rushed him to Hilo Medical Center to receive urgent treatment. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Levi Mayberry died Friday when the tree hit a boat he was on about 10 miles (16.09 kilometers) north of Van Buren. He is listed on the report as the driver of the boat. The coroner said the accident occurred when storms with strong winds were blowing through the area. Elizabeth “Lizzy” Hammond and two other children were playing in a bounce house in Reno, Nevada last Sunday when the bounce house was lifted about 10 feet into the air by the wind, getting caught in neighborhood power lines, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
