Decent reviews for the opening night of the tour and she looks great. We'll see how she manages with the other 77 dates.

So, major tease re next year's Glasto that they held open one headlining slot and one of the biggest female acts on Earth has declared herself availble for 2024. Emily Eavis didn't actually use the word Madonna, but we know what she meant, right?

FEMALE headliners,

So Talking Heads not included there. Apart from owt else, the buried tensions in the reformed band are likely being held in check as the various ageing THs contemplate the moolaw that'll see them in decent healthcare into their dotage. The main tension is Byrne vs Weymouth, right? He thinks she's the weakest musical link in the quartet she thinks him a complete prick and an apology for a human being. So, they're a band, not female fronted and the cold day in Hell option where they're concerned is the billing as Tina Weymouth and the Talking Heads!

Nah, but seriously - there's another headlining slot available so, who knows

This online discussion appeared more pertinent, mind - someone arguing Byrne has contacts at Coachella and that'd be a likelier big headlining gig for them:
