Spade_Cooley 9,519 Posted September 3, 2015 Any reference to D O'R mandates the reposting of the quotes from the court case her former nanny put against her. In three days of evidence, Ms Fahy, who has also worked for the model Elle McPherson and U2's drummer, Larry Mullen, said she suffered stress due to the lifestyle of the couple. She said the trouble began when she accompanied them to their lakeside retreat in Canada in June 1999. She told the court Mr Burton drank at all times of the day, the couple took their baby son on quad-cycles, and Mr Burton once drove him around the lake on a jet-ski without a life jacket, while holding a can of beer. Ms Fahy said Ms O'Riordan would iron for hours, sometimes the same items over and over. Sometimes, in the evenings, the singer would hand her the sleeping child and tell her to give him a bath. The idea was to wake him so he would sleep late the next morning, not disturbing her. Ms Fahy said Mr Burton would say absurd things. During one row, he kept shouting: "You don't get it, do you? My wife is Bono. She is not Larry." The nanny complained about being left alone with the child in a remote area, without a car, and said at one point Ms O'Riordan went "ballistic". Shouting "everyone is against me", she took the baby from the pram and ran towards the lake, Ms Fahy said. Mr Burton, who had been drinking, went upstairs and told Ms Fahy: "You're fucking fired and you know jack shit about horses."

Vinegar Tits 606 Posted September 3, 2015 I dream of the day I can use "MY WIFE IS BONO. SHE IS NOT LARRY." in a conversation That is a fabulous quote. Though technically incorrect - U2 *is* Larry's band. Was at the beginning and always will be. Ask the rest of U2. Dolores has always been a bit of an up-herself cow with OCD tendancies. The rest of the band are lovely.

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted September 4, 2015 Just found about Rico :-( I loved The Specials, this sucks. I also played trombone through high school and a bit beyond, so not many out there to admire. RIP Rico SC Here's a great song and solo close up of Rico at 2:10
YoungWillz 21,037 Posted September 5, 2015 Been out this evening, come home to this news about Rico. As a ska boy back in the late 70s/early 80s, I'm really sorry to hear this news. RIP Rico, such an influential figure for me. Proper piece of my early teenage years gone.

Yeah, something of a legend at the time, The Specials had an agreeable habit of playing loads of gigs, especially in the unfashionable toilet towns other bands were happy to avoid., Really sad news. Tears On My Pillow: Presuming this is true, stunning there isn't a link to it anywhere. Sha Na Na only played WOODSTOCK for Christ sake and had a TV show. Wikipedia entry on the band merely mentions he died on 9-5-15 with no citation. That would make it two days ago----and nothing?!?? His personal Wikipedia entry says he died on 9-6-2015 (the next day) again no citation. A search of Dayton Law School's webpage doesn't even say they lost an active member of their faculty.OK--it's the Labor Day holiday weekend here, and many people off till tomorrow. But still.... YoungWillz 21,037 Posted September 7, 2015 ^^I know Sir C, although his former bandmate (whom he sued along with other Sha Na Na members) is the Donny York whose FB post it is - not a bad source I'd say, especially with the detail of his illness which I couldn't find in the other brief mentions of his demise. Note how in this case I used the word "reported" anyway. I'd have thought fans of the film would be all over this news like a rash - who knows? Edit: University officials have now confirmed: http://www.whio.com/news/news/sha-na-na-co-founder-dennis-greene-was-beloved-law/nnZTS/
