Recent interview with Daisy Berkowitz has him stable, but chemo every fortnight.....

"I am managing but it’s hard. I am stable for now. I go for treatment every two weeks and afterward I deal with the negative side effects – extreme fatigue, inability to taste or eat, lack of focus, rough/burning hands/feet – for about ten days then I have to go back again…indefinitely."

Mitch Aliotta of Rotary Connection (which included a pre-fame Minnie Riperton), and Aliotta-Haynes-Jeremiah, 70. http://www.oldiesmusic.com/news.htm

Here's the quote for posterity: "According to his daughter, Mitch Aliotta-- bassist with Rotary Connection and Aliota, Haynes & Jeremiah-- died Tuesday (July 21) at the age of 70. Though Rotary Connection only charted with "Want You To Know" (#96) in 1970, they are remembered for launching Minnie Riperton's career. And Aliotta, Haynes & Jeremiah are still remembered for their non-charting classic tune "Lake Shore Drive." The group appeared in the made-for-TV movie "Sparrow". John Jeremiah died in 2011."

For me, their best song was "I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun". They really should be better known.

Yeah, agreed, I've inflicted them on the listening public about three times over the years, the revival still hasn't taken hold.

That choon was brilliant. However, sharing a house with my god-fearing, at the Church 6 days a week, father, here's a heads up. Anyone in the same position WILL get a row if it's too loud.

Music for Maniacs - easily found once you Google the name - offered up a freebie download of a live Negativeland gig this week. Worth checking out if you liked the track.

Billy Zoom founding guitarist of X is currently receiving treatment for bladder cancer.

Anyone interested in donating to help with his medical fees can do so here http://www.gofundme.com/yx66a4

X are currently on tour, they're donating some of the earnings to help with Billy's medical fees. Billy is still gigging with them and seems to be in good spirits.

The most brilliant of them all was their U2 cover using comment by Casey Kasem. Song was banned for a while.

Israeli guitarist Yossi Piamenta is in a medically-induced coma:

http://jpupdates.com/2015/04/19/guitarist-yossi-piamenta-in-medically-induced-coma/

He's suffering from an undisclosed illness that must have struck him in 2014 or before, which is slowly destroying his health.

And he's dead now. The illness was cancer:

Huff Post seem to be taking Sum 41's Deryk Whibley at face value when he commits to battling the causes of his liver problems and near-death hospitalisation.

I'm thinking, he's well worth a watch and assured obit material if he falls badly off the wagon in the next few years: http://www.huffingto...l?ncid=webmail2

I thought liked his drinks in proportion?

His mom should have had an abortion, bortion, bortion, bortion.

Got married over the weekend, drinking apple juice for the first toast. Still looks like shit, mind.
