Sad, I actually met him years ago when he fronted a loud but conspiciously unsuccessful band called Bandit. One little known thing he did reflects really well on the man. After years he had his one and only #1 hit, a record called "I Should've Known Better" and when it went to #1 in December 1984 he said publicly he really hoped it wouldn't hold on for another week because everyone should go out and buy the Band Aid single and knock it off the top.

Steve Mackay becomes the latest of The Stooges to die. Feels like they're dropping like flies the last few years.

Carey Landers, from the fantastic Camera Obscura, died as a result of Cancer, over the weekend. I saw her and the band play in Hebden Bridge in early August this year. A sad loss.

Paul Barrere, guitarist with Little Feat since 1972, is suffering from liver cancer, not that this has generated much in the way of news. I'd say he's obitable on the basis I got points on the 2010 DDP for Little Feat's drummer Richie Hayward....who died of liver cancer. :(

The heat is on, as they say...

He'll need to take it easy, if he's not already gone ....
