He came in first 15,179 times in 82,336 starts, and held the record for most wins in a year, 814, set in 1989. Filion, who would have won even more races were it not for a seven-year suspension beginning in the mid-1990s, died on June 22 at a hospital in Mineola, N.Y. He was 77. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted October 24, 2017 Multiple sources are reporting the death of horse racing magnate Beverly Lewis. Beverly and her husband Bob campaigned four classic winners from 1995-2000. The Lewises were Kentucky Derby winners in 1997 with Silver Charm. Charismatic followed suit in 1999. Beverly passed away on October 20 after a long illness. She was 90 years old. UK 1000/2000 Guineas /Derby/Oaks/ King George/ St Ledger/Arc winners and, for our US chums winners of the Kentucky/Preakness ( and the others coz I do not know) as well as the Breeders Cup Turf and Dirt or summat.
