alt obits guy 3,371 Posted October 14, 2018 Richard Brookins, a World War II veteran remembered for having dressed as Saint Nicholas on December 5, 1944 to bring joy to kids in Luxembourg, has died. He was 96. Brookins was featured in the 2015 documentary 'The American St. Nick', which saw him travel back to Luxembourg. His notoriety led him to be inducted into the International Santa Claus Hall of Fame. Point being, if this is only one lot of the survivors of the BoB, it seems a bit "Yankish" behaviour to be honest. Good question. This site is a useful. Seems there were 2937 airmen altogether. 2342 were Brits. 595 were from other nations, so about 20% (if you click on a country it gives you a profile of each airman). Given that the fate of some is still unknown there is a chance that there may be more than 7 surviving Airmen out there but chances are becoming pretty slim now.
