The way the Hairy Biker describes how he fell over because of his cancer, makes me pretty sure his cancer is brain cancer:

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/tv/hairy-bikers-chef-dave-myers-28321111

It also shows up as a Google suggestion, weirdly.

And he said that he didn't reveal his cancer because he didn't want the press to speculate on when he's going to die (when, not if!).

My guess is, he has brain cancer but not glioblastoma, maybe only a grade 3.

37th rounds of chemotherapy. That’s a lot.

--Likely cancer of the brain

--Didn't think he'd even make it to this Christmas

--I've seen other articles quoting him as saying he was basically devastated and floored by the diagnosis, which sounds to me like a terminal diagnosis as opposed to a good prognosis.

Yeah, he's worth a pick FOR SURE in '24.  Here's another person I had never heard of, but he will be going on my list and staying there unless I hear a remission announcement or something.

Acclaimed chef and restaurateur David Bouley,  who established the high-end restaurants Bouley and Brushstroke in Manhattan, died at 70 years:

He organized a food delivery effort for rescue workers at Ground Zero in the days following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Sad news for the Knorr Stockpot industry. They might need a new advert.

Ah, well, I think I sniffed it out there that things weren't going well, but didn't trust myself enough.

It was the adverts that pushed me away from him, I thought Knorr would have wanted some confirmation that he wasn't about to die before they put him in an advert where the punchline is he lives inside a tight wooden box.

Yes - and then, he wasn't Drop 40, which would have been a real regret for not putting him into the main team.

A big miss by the committee, the last pic of him with bald head, glasses, looking pale etc he looked close to death

How he has gone so quickly, ahead of others like McMichael etc. is a mystery.

Alumnus.  Singular.  A female would be an alumna.

Which prompts me to wonder if we would get into trouble over using these m/f variations nowadays.

Unless you're wilfully misgendering (and why would anyone?), no.
