msc 18,288 Posted September 10, 2023 Double checked with Wiki because Willz memories go back further than mine. Ask Aspel def on in the 70s, so if all going in twelve months as suggested above I'd like to welcome Michael Aspel to DL2024 if he makes it! 1

time 8,497 Posted September 10, 2023 I'm not sure* we could call him a 'major' star but Jimmy Tarbuck still lives (not sure he had an eponymous show either (Wikipedia says he did), but he fronted the original Winner Takes All (or Winner Take All, as he used to say)). *I am sure, we couldn't (but then if Cilla qualifies *shrug*)

Bibliogryphon 9,413 Posted September 10, 2023 Les Dennis and Dustin Gee had a short lived show Short lived in the same sense as Dustin Gee. They were an interesting combination Les Dennis was technically a very good impressionist but Dustin Gee had a more natural sense of comic timing. Of course both are alumni of the Russ Abbot's Madhouse
