gcreptile 10,976 Posted June 21, 2015 The Brazil 1958 World Cup team are dropping like flies. Eight months ago, there were seven of them still alive. Now there are just three. Since last July, we've seen Djalma Santos, Nilton Santos, Gilmar and now Bellini pass on. The remaining survivors are Zito, Mario Zagallo and of course, Pele. Zito has died aged 82. Either of the other two would be obitable and potential DL top 50 fodder, right? I guess the committee will definitely start to list Pelé soon.
Spade_Cooley 9,530 Posted June 29, 2015 Here comes a big one: Josef Masopust, always a great name to drop when discussing the GOATs if you want to seem smarter than other football fans, dead at 84. Played for the Czechs in both 58 and their run to the final in 62, he also won the Ballon d'Or in 62 as well.
