Death Impends 7,970 Posted April 2, 2015 Schuller's death means I've nabbed 7 DDP hits in not even four months, which isn't bad at all especially considering that was the same amount I got in the entirety of last year

gcreptile 10,970 Posted April 10, 2015 From baskets to caskets, Lauren Hill: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-3033636/Lauren-Hill-dies-fighting-tumor-play-college-hoops.html That was quick. Personally, I'd prohibit the choice of people famous for being terminally ill, Kate Granger is another candidate. But then these are the rules, and the Daily Mail pretty much ensures that these people get obits as long as they were "uplifting" or "fighting bravely" and the like... Crazycarl is now falling behind, he's got some low-hanging fruits still in there, but also some weaker picks, in my opinion. DQSP would be on top if it wasn't for Ion Trewin. TJS has the more mainstream picks left while DQSP has the more interesting ones. Death Impends now needs his joker (Martin Crowe), and in this case he'll be almost impossible to beat. Deathray 2,940 Posted April 10, 2015 As somebody who refuses to pick famous for being ill/dying picks and more and more coming to the conclusion that no matter how competitive a team I enter I'm not going to challenge the top of the leaderboard. I know there's an argument there fundraising warrants fame in it's own right, but I'm yet to buy it.
DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted April 10, 2015 As somebody who refuses to pick famous for being ill/dying picks and more and more coming to the conclusion that no matter how competitive a team I enter I'm not going to challenge the top of the leaderboard. Not true. I didn't have any famous for being ill types in my 2008 team. I did in 2011 and 2012, but even if they hadn't died, I would still have won.
