It’s nice to catch up on old posts now and then.

Haha! Tbf, the Tories sunk even further in the polls after I posted that, which I did not anticipate.

Why is the 1935 cohort having bad luck? There have been many deaths lately with famous people born in 1935 and most of them at 88.

Not everyone makes it to 90.. Mid to late 80s can be a very common age to die for any year born really.

Maybe not the right place, but where else?

American travel show host Rick Steves has prostate cancer, prognosis seems good though:

Mainly posted because I do enjoy his videos and shows quite a bit.

Lauren Laverne diagnosed with cancer, recovering.

The news coverage on it last night collided TOTP footage of Kenickie with a clip of her presenting her 6Music show, made it obvious the Beeb haven't got a slick pre-prepared obit for her. So, clearly nobody saw this coming

The unfortunate thing is seeing that his entire business is basically based around him, if he dies Americans will lose probably the best travel guide series left for Europe.

Naturalist Tony Soper (long career as a presenter on nature-related shows) is 92 today. Nailed on obits as and when.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it's inconsiderate of a "naturalist" to live that long?

Natural history presenters seem to live long lives. Desmond Morris is 96 and David Attenborough is 98.
