Former Wheel of Fortune host, Chuck Woolery announced dead at 83.

Why does everyone say he's associated with Wheel when almost none of his episodes actually survive? He's far more associated with later game shows and other ventures.

Chuck Woolery. I know the name, so I must have seen him presenting Scrabble - I'd never admit to having watched Love Connection.

Anyway, a DDP pick, so if you see anything...

As I was saying - QO!

I thought he must have his own thread.

Sandy Gall and Desmond Morris do by virtue of being on the 2024 list

Masterchef is going ahead tonight since the thoughtful BBC have cited its vital role in fulfilling the wishes of contestants etc. Greg Wallace's alleged crimes include possession of an ego way beyond the abilities of his intelligence to sustain it so suicide risk minimal I'd say,  even if he is cancelled on a wide scale

I can see it being pulled/put on Iplayer only soon through (Six more episodes to go)

The Telegraph headline calling for it be pulled off is making me laugh through when they normally not in favour of cancel culture and censorship of bad people.

Craig Rich BBC Report, apparently the BBC's first regional weather forecaster.

He was the much loved weatherman on BBC South West Spotlight news for decades.  My abiding memory of Craig Rich is that he used to end his segment with a weather related painting sent in by a child - including my own abstract storm effort in about 1983 :rip:

He was also instrumental in uncovering the fraudulent efforts of Donald Crowhurst.

I tried doing a search but couldn't find if anyone had posted this about Alistair Stewart's struggle with dementia

Discussed plenty before.

Helps if you spell his name right – it's Alastair Stewart.

That's probably the reason why I couldn't find anything

I think it's silly. If there's no offensive content in the actual programmes, why not show them?  Nobody is forced to watch.

It's so depressing , this unnecessary censoring of stuff.  I couldn't give a shit if he offended somebody off camera, they could have walked away or given him a slap.

To be fair, I saw someone jesting on Facebook about a win/win option - Farmyard Masterchef, wherein our Greg cooks for farmyard animals and the like, pulls his faces as he samples the food and gets surrounded by young females every week, but isn't allowed any with only two feet! He stays on telly, the cancel-him crowd see justice being done, an absolute ratings winner, frankly

The Xmas & celebrity shows I'm not bothered about because I don't watch them. I do think it would be incredibly unfair on the competitors if they pulled the rest of Professional & next year's amateur MasterChef (as it's likely to have already been recorded)

I'm also curious if any of the allegations are coming from the amateurs/professionals or just the celebs.
