Wickerman 76 Posted January 1, 2020 There are quite wonderful and reflective moments reading Death Listers Shadow Lists. Those moments of recognition and remembrance; moments of: “Are they still alive? I haven’t thought of them for years. Where are they now? What are they doing?” and then the research to answer those questions. Thank you Death Listers everywhere

This is exactly where the enjoyment from Deathlist comes for me, so my random celebrities I'd never have known about have been introduced to me via this forum. You can have all your cancer mums in the world and become a successful deadpooler but that's never been the point. The one great thing about shadow lists is that generally people actually screen their picks for 'would they put them on the real Deathlist?' if they were committee members which gives you a much higher calibre of pick than some of the competetive deadpools hereabouts with woefully low obit requirements (this isn't a criticism of them, they have their place... i set one of them up for fuck sake ) To those who say we celebrate people's deaths, to those who say we're sad bastards reveling in other peoples misery or that the magic of Deathlisting has died off. Get your head out of the FFBI ridden sands of Deathrace, the DDP and Hares come hear to have your mind cleansed and remember the good old reason for Deathlisting. It's a hobby that breathes life in forgotten careers. Each time someones name is breathed - or type - a bit of life is bled into them whether the are alive or dead. I've come to the conclusion were I a long forgotten celebrity who was to stumble upon this sight I'd be flattered people were still talking about me and that my career was notable enough to end up on one of these lists. To read lists of people of genuine fame and amazing achievements you'd never knew about is a true education..... Here's to Shadowlists, the saving grace of demoralised deadpool hosts. I've just remembered what drew me to this site and kept me around in the first place... normal bitter, pthy, aggessive, non-soppy Deathray posting will resume at some point when the drugs wear off......
