maryportfuncity 10,592 Posted January 17, 2016 Thank you very much TMIB, great work! And thanks for the nice comments at my teams. I hope you will be right! But again it will be difficult for all my theme team picks to obit in the UK. Last year they were no obits for Wiedemann and Bossi, this year starts with no obit for Leuwerik Indeed, much respect! Dr. Zorders 1,271 Posted January 17, 2016 I've decided to thank TMIB this year by laying off the nauseating grovelling routine everyone does.

Eesti 151 Posted January 17, 2016 Randy Romero and Tony Adamowicz are not very popular picks. Obit problems or any other reason?
CaptainChorizo 1,968 Posted January 18, 2016 Randy Romero and Tony Adamowicz are not very popular picks. Obit problems or any other reason? With Adamowicz since I know nothing about Autoracing I had no idea what his importance to the sport and potential obitableness was and his minimal wiki page made me think he might be iffy. Romero's case seemed like a decent pick but he just missed my team. If Angelil or Andrew Smith would have gone before Jan 1 he might have made it in.

Obit potential would suffice, and is actually English. Away wi yez pedantic shite marra! The drive to find a word for obit potential annoys me here, are we really shortening the process of expressing the sentiment in any significant way by using obitability (a mere 2 charachters less) or obitableness (a mere 1 charachter less)

Spade_Cooley 9,464 Posted January 19, 2016 I'd have guessed (without looking) Gabor will cling on to the top spot, but the Feek-a-mania goes to show how even a casual deadpooler is starting to play the game like a venerable pro. Are we seeing the moment where deadpooling becomes like fantasy sports?
msc 18,385 Posted January 19, 2016 With my dodgy maths, it looks like Feek has around 89 teams going for her, which would have put her at 11th place in last year's Drop Forty. Joost had 80 last year, and has around 90 this year, so perhaps its just the number of folk who casually notice the Daily Mail mentioning someone vaguely celebrity is very ill repeatedly?

Handrejka 1,903 Posted January 19, 2016 I don't why but the fact that there is a theme of celebs with big noses made me laugh a lot more than it should. I've also only just seen the Una Stubbs profile, love the fact that you mention there's a rumour about her (even if you don't actually say what the rumour is)
Spade_Cooley 9,464 Posted January 19, 2016 I work with the brother-in-law of Una Stubbs' son-in-law (all the big stars). After asking him if the urban legend about her was true, I then had to explain to him what the urban legend was. Apparently it's never come up on the rare occasions they've met.
