Burkina Faso politician and diplomat Frédéric Guirma (Wikidead at 92

Upper Volta's ambassador to the US in the 60s. I doubt there are much people alive who've held official meetings with Pres. Kennedy...

That reminds me, I wonder if William V. S. Tubman Jr. is alive. Son of longtime president William Tubman and one of Liberia's most powerful politicians from the 1950s to the 1980 coup. Last mention of him I could find is from 2008 but he'd be around 92 now.

Local city council members seem pretty low on the political spectrum to be included herein, basketball playing aside.  If they were DL Cup entries perhaps, seeing as they got sone run; but otherwise damn near any political office can be posted and is that a policy we want to set?  Oh look Ombudsman Jones died!…

Kentucky Congressman and Dean of the US House, Hal Rodgers, was involved in a car accident. His team says he is in "good condition."

Also the father of Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester, who is virtually certain to be elected to the US Senate from Delaware this November.

Regarding the posts above, not that I profess to be an expert in Taiwanese democracy, but a survivor of my deadpools of yore, Shih Ming Teh, 81, has seen off liver cancer twice and been sentenced to life in jail on three different occasions.   He was force fed for four years during one of his hunger strikes!

Shih Ming-teh, Taiwanese dissident, longtime political prisoner and politician sometimes called Taiwan's Mandelareportedly dead at 83.

Mentioned here multiple times since 2006 due to his longtime battle with liver cancer. He was hospitalised in critical condition with a recurrence last month but seems it was never reported by any English language news source.

Gives The Living End’s winning 2008 squad a clean slate now

Not dead - and not recent news (September 2022) but never mentioned here before. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Prime Minister of Malaysia 2003-2009, has dementia and it's progressed to the point he can't recognize family members and is permanently wheelchairbound.

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi pictured three days ago:

He appears to have worsened significantly since the picture Arghton posted last May.

From January 2020 it seems

The same guy has interviewed him many times. Seems he lives in California, either Los Angeles or Laguna Hills.

Then he should end in some American database when he dies?

Bollocks nearly p;icked him on on my theme team.He was on the subs bench. He would have been a unique.I looked too much in to the prognosis and not the fact that he kept having to have chemo and cancel things.Biggest miss of the year so far for me.

I had him longlisted but in the end didn't pick him partially because of the lack of updates and also I assumed a few others would and he wouldn't have been a unique.
