They can also request a leave of absence if they have a legitimate excuse for non-attendance. Lord Leith (Labour) b. 1947 ms 2004 did this just a few days ago to avoid getting thrown out.

The list may be indicative of illness, or merely just members being busy elsewhere in their lives or disillusioned with the House. However, 18 out of 28 of them are 80+ so worth keeping an eye on.

Sugar is too busy finding his next business partner from among Britain's brightest business brains.

Does Archer still live in that hideous block of flats just upriver from Westminster? He could pop in during his lunch break if he wanted to retain his seat.

Jo Churchill MP and Dame Eleanor Laing MP both announced today that they're standing down at the election. Laing has cancer, Churchill at least did in the past.

Worth keeping an eye on both.

Kevan Jones who is stepping down due to treatment for an ongoing health issue which sounds slightly ominous is another one to keep an eye on.

My MP.

Don’t think she is unwell to the extent that we should think she might be a DDP Hit next year through - she has been out campaigning in Colchester (Labour have pared Safe no hope seats with target seats) per her Twitter feed.

Tim’s a really lovely man and widely liked. All I will say is he’s suffered from severe mental health and physical ailments in recent years. I last saw him in October. He’s declined somewhat since then.

He clearly does, and has for some time (I've found a Reddit comment from a few months ago asking about the same symptoms during a different interview, and there's likely more if someone was to go back and watch older uploads).

Bill Cash retiring

He announced that publicly 11 months ago.

Parliament dissolves at midnight so a lot of MPs will just be getting their formal letters uploaded into the public domain.

There's a list of all 130 retiring MPs on Wiki here. It will be 132 if Diane Abbott does indeed retire and if Jamie Wallis fails to find a seat in England (he said he doesn't want to stand in Wales again). Not a million miles off of the 149 who stood down in 2010 following the expenses scandal!

Father of the House and MP since 1975 (5 years before Rishi Sunak was born), Sir Peter Bottomley is standing again in OAP on Sea, better known as Worthing West. At 79 years old, he is probably one of the younger residents of his constituency.

Of the 7 above who are restanding there's only 2 at risk of losing their seats – Fellows and Corbyn.

Gale and Bottomley are both at risk of losing based on recent polls.

On some of the more bad polls for the Tories (You Gov MRP in April for example) Bottomley is at risk as well.

35 years between Marion Fellows and her challenger Pamala Nash - will look into in the others age gaps later.
