The grandad

Q/O chances?

Not expecting DL Cup glory but he'd be local paper fodder if there were a new MMDP, right?

Depends when he goes.If it is in the next few months guaranteed due to the family deaths. If longer the original story will probably be forgotten.

Aye but - reality check here - local paper = MMDP points and he's doubtless good for that.

Hah, sorry, but least there is a name to pick. Could be the tearjerker story of the year.

Gee, I wonder who the dumbass was who made that.

I've no idea how the Wikipedia 'categories' are generated but how did she end up being Austrian, born in 1932 and dying in 2014?

No useful ones like "people recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but not yet dead"...

Another one who I think would have seen a few Deathlist Cup callups if he'd made it another 13 days, Oxford United fan Steve Dyer has died at 59.

Shocked he was still going. Last I saw - nearly a year ago - he was "seriously ill with metastatic bladder cancer and outlived a prognosis of 4 months tops".

Don't worry, Rad Guy, I'm sure The Mirror would give you an obit too in that case.  :P

I almost had a heart attack when I found it.

The Mirror are the new Daily Mail in the "how the fuck do they give an obit for that!" stakes...

This has killed the game for me.  It's now all about finding mawkish stories about people of no interest, and it's gone way too far down that path.

Agreed. Incredibly boring. DDP should set notability standards.

Notable that at the moment you have to go to position 17th equal to find teams who have picked people who have died who could be defined outwith FFBI.

Congrats to RadGuy. Heidi Loughlin will get a Mirror and Daily Mail obit when she goes, "cancer mum", "unborn baby", "tragedy", bla bla, "young woman", bla. Things should be changed.

*prepares to blow up the Mirror headquarters*
