grobler 35 Posted December 24, 2006 having submitted a few 2007 entries (without Castro...) , I for one would LOVE to see the back of him
King Whoopass 0 Posted December 26, 2006 Castro doesn't have cancer says Spanish surgeon, he's recovering well. What to make of this news, I don't know. It more than likely means quite the opposite, thus confirming the decision to include him in my DDP team. Good show, Castro.
Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 26, 2006 Castro doesn't have cancer says Spanish surgeon, he's recovering well. What to make of this news, I don't know. I'd say still too risky for DL and 50 picks to leave off. For DDP and 20 picks, he may get replaced by a certain Iraqi judge on my team...

Guest Richard Armstrong Posted December 27, 2006 Fidel Castro will live three months at most. The Castro's disease is serious and irreversible. I dout that Raul Castro will stay in power for long time after the Fidel's death.

Why would they fly a doctor in all the way from Spain if everything was ok with Castro?

Gwynhafyr 0 Posted January 1, 2007 but he's just release his New Year's message and says that everything is fine. Why would he lie to us? BBC link "Concerning my recovery I always said it would be a long process, but it is far from being a lost battle," he said in the message[ For the simple reason that Castro´s Cuba is a Lie Itself Poor Cubans !!! Death to the Tyrant now!!! Ohhhh isn't Fidel's inclusion a big cheat? After all he is practically dead already.

Olveres 8 Posted January 3, 2007 Perhaps he's dead already? A cunning get-out of this year's deathlist. Would it count? Could point Sully. Who's to say that he even made 2007.... See my thread about Bin Laden in the same vein, if they suppress news of his death do we take his expiry date as his death or when we found out about it, sort of in a missing presumed dead scenario when the person might yet show up.... BrunoBrimley 86 Posted January 3, 2007 Even the local priests have doubts about his recovery.... You mean you'll take the word of a suspected priest over that over me? I'm telling you right now Teddy, as sure as my name is Walter Winchell...which it is not, I must point out...that if Fidel were to die this very day, I would be utterly shocked, dismayed and maybe even a little surprised. Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 3, 2007 Daily Record SICK FIDEL 'IN SPAIN' AILING Fidel Castro was rumoured to be in a Spanish hospital yesterday after being smuggled into the country. It was reported that the Cuban dictator, above, was in a Madrid clinic. He is said to have been flown in on the same plane as the Spanish surgeon who jetted to Cuba last week to treat him. The surgeon, Jose Luis Garcia Sabrido, has denied claims Castro has cancer.
Lothar_The_Lurker 1 Posted January 4, 2007 LOL from NBC no less. I'd still rather have Cuban healthcare than the British NHS. Would you now? Take a look at this website and see the pics taken from Cuba. Living in America I haven't experienced the NHS first hand, but I'd rather have NHS healthcare than Cuban after lookign at those photos. Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted January 4, 2007 Would you now? Take a look at this website and see the pics taken from Cuba. Living in America I haven't experienced the NHS first hand, but I'd rather have NHS healthcare than Cuban after lookign at those photos. There you have it. You've never experienced the NHS first hand. Having experienced British free healthcare and Cuban free healthcare I'd opt for the latter. If I couldn't go to Cuba I'd go to Goa where it's a fraction of the price of British private healthcare. http://www.studentbmj.com/issues/00/12/life/465.php Americans would be straight onto your lawyers if you contracted MRSA whilst being treated in hospital. Over here it's the designer disease that keeps the wards just below full. We just accept it, like bad teeth, another NHS legacy! As for insect infestations... they use British hospitals as training grounds for pest control technicians. Why? Because they have everything! Cockroaches (at least 3 species), bedbugs, fleas, the list reads like a Discovery Channel wet dream! CUBA! CUBA! CUBA! CUBA! CUBA!
Banshees Scream 110 Posted January 4, 2007 AILING Fidel Castro was rumoured to be in a Spanish hospital yesterday after being smuggled into the country. In a bag? In a suitcase? In a box? In a laundry basket? In a back pack? Fidel Castro was smuggled.
