21/12/1974 Are You Ready to Rock #8
NB: I note that on Charlie Grima's website (which is pretty old now) he mentions he was from Malta and emigrated to the UK aged 10. This is an obit for a Charlie Grima (1944–2018) who latterly lived in Valletta, Malta. Is it him? I don't think so. His website said he was latterly living in Kent, and this tends to suggest that the Charlie Grima who died in 2018 worked as a school caretaker.

And one more...

When someone creates an unnecessary thread and then is the only person populating it…

Maybe the Admins can put an end to this mastabatory prose.

By putting you out of your misery with a ban? I do hope so, as all you post is shite – namely abuse of others or just spam level cut and pasted stories like “Local police officer Jarvis W. Smith died in San Antonio on Thursday his family announced” that nobody gives a flying fuck about.

@Paul Bearer you should’ve banned this nuisance about 5 years ago.

I have no horse in this race but I think this is a very useful thread. I've only ever seen Sir Creep be a pain in the neck that drags this forum down.

I was reading the thread and found it interesting and informative before I saw the interjection. Why would you want it banned?

Way better known as part of the platinum selling folk-rock duo Seals and Crofts. Just visited their website, which is clunky as fuck and looks like shit - their last gig appears to have been in 2014. That said, the one on the right as you look - Dash Crofts - remains alive, obitable and old - coming up 84 in August.

According to the Wiki the Tequila recording was only Danny Flores, Gene Alden and Buddy Bruce, and an unnamed session saxophonist.

Seals joined afterwards as did Glen Campbell.

Don't know who was on Too Much Tequila mind you.

Don't think Seals and Croft did anything in the UK, save write Summer Breeze, which was a hit for The Isley Brothers and Geoffrey Williams, though much later.

Reminds me of when I stumbled upon the Procol Harum website while writing Gary Brooker's obit. There must be a whole batch of web 1.0 fossil websites for old bands out there.

See the notes section of the entry. I used the lineup on Wiki for the first hit. Couldn't find one for the second hit, so I just used their regular lineup for around that period.
