Your only supposed to ring 111 if you need hospital treatment at this point, there basically a 2nd 999 in this sort of situation

Don't phone them to tell you you've got the fucking thing. Half the country has and your taking the line up for someone who needs an ambo.

I know.I apologise for panicking.I have managed to calm down a bit now as  I don't seem to be getting a lot worse. I  don't seem to have developed a temperature, yet at least so I'm not sure if that means I don't have covid 19 or not. I am happy to sit it out in my flat and see what happens.Don't want to overload the phone line for those who might be a lot more seriously affected than me !

don't apologize for how you feel or what you think. As this forum is about death (and struggle in life too…) it is the right place for you to talk if you need, mainly on those uncertain times of fear and loneliness. I tend to see this forum as a big family (there's the uncle that no one wants to see, the teen who  is a bit ahead of his time, the grumpy mother…) and if you need some support, I think (or I hope) everyone here would be really happy to give it to you

President of Piedmont, Alberto Cirio, tests positive. In recent weeks he had been very critical of plans to play Juventus/Inter behind closed doors or even cancel it altogether.

Alberto Cirio fully recovered.

Closing on on a first legit victim not 80 and suffering from other shite.

David Edwards, a former Texas A&M star who led the Southwest Conference in (basketball) assists, has died.

Former Aggie teammates said he had been in intensive care, but died of coronavirus in his hometown of New York. News of his death broke late Monday. An A&M spokesman said he had seen reports from Edwards' teammates that he had died.

Edwards played for A&M from 1991-94, and averaged 13.5 points, 7.1 assists and 2.7 steals in his career with the Aggies.  His 265 assists led the Southwest Conference in 1994.

Majority of these names are barely notable.

You can tell folk are already bored in their quarantine by the fact that persons who wouldn’t have otherwise had Wikipedia pages created for them are having that luxury posthumously because, and really only because, they died of COVID-19.

Yes, in an attempt to sensationalize something that does not need to.

The virus killed Manu Dibango, Lucia Bosè and Terrence McNally. I can also understand the notability of Vittorio Gregotti (one of the most important Italian architects of last century), Germà Colon (a respected Catalan philologist) the Iranian politicians and some MPs of Italy/France/Spain. But the rest surely would not get an article if not for the fucking COVID and just pollute the recent deaths page.

EDIT: and Lorenzo Sanz of course. The virus had a respectable score, even without exaggerations.

Exactly. The virus is already killing quite a few notable names. Hence I don’t see the need to sensationalise it further by taking notice of obscure Zimbabwean journalists, doctors who died on the job or mayors of small towns etc. It’s just hysterical.

Betty Williams (the Nobel Prize winner) died of "sudden viral pneumonia" after still being quite active. iirc they never tested her, but you can probably guess what folk think did for her.

I love how you have the audacity to say “use the search engine” when the sole (there was only one mention) mention of it was just referring to “drag queen” literally impossible to search.

It was also posted in the 2000s music thread a couple of days ago, and he was mentioned by name :D
