I think Dame Maggie Smith should be on the list in future. She is 85 and is getting on a bit and i'm not sure she'll make it past 90.

There’s a lot of talk here by adults about what is essentially children’s television - because no actual grown up watches this bunch of ass, do they?

Sad news. Mike Huckaby is dead. Sadder news is that Mike Huckabee is still alive...

‘Key worker’. That’s lovely that you’re a nurse or a carer or a fireman but you do not have to start EVERY SINGLE POST on any form of social media with ‘I’m a key worker’ - ‘I’m a key worker where can I get my headlight fixed’ ‘I’m a key worker is there any florists open’ ‘I’m a key worker does anyone know if Superdrug has any Anusol in stock - I couldn’t give a fuck if you’re a ‘key worker’, it has NO RELEVANCE to your post. My need for Anusol is just as valid as yours, just because I’m not a ‘key worker’ I’m still having to work every day so fuck off with your attention seeking hero bollocks.

Maybe I should think about it again, haha! Translation: 1 - And what about you in Cologne? - On my balcony, roasting my nuts in the sun, listening to ABBA! Pleasant for the nerves! 2 - Yeah, sun! Now that it's just April! And once more no rain! The Summer is frightening me more than the virus .. - By the way, what about the two new ABBA songs they had promised? - What? 3 - No one's talking about that anymore! A new album by ABBA right now, this would keep humanity sweet! - Probably there'd be peace in Palestine! 4 - Right, as long as we've got fresh water for our diswasher, the only thing missing are two new songs by Abba! Sagat, stop it! - Somebody should talk to Björn! -Absolutely

Been to see Bruce Springsteen in Coventry a couple of times and was disappointed that he didn't open with a Specials cover. He sometimes acknowledges a local artist that way.

I've been told I look like Richard Beckinsale which makes me think I would have made a better looking man than I do woman.

I actually saw a big fat middle aged bloke with one of these hair cuts at Tescos today. The fact that he was wearing some sort of Carer/NHS garb with tracksuit bottoms did not negate the fact that he looked like a child molester. Fuck, people cannot be THAT eccentric, surely

Hamilton Bohannon, Motown drummer who went on to have a successful solo career as a named artist, sometimes credited as simply Bohannon, reported dead on the Twittersheeple: UK #6 (July 1975) Disco Stomp

That Stones song is awful. Their 70s selves would be embarrassed to hear that. They would have been better just to do a cover of Ghost Town by the Specials.

Rina Sawayama - XS - from her self-titled debut album. This japanese queer artist gives a modern spin to those timeless classic artists like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey:

Today it's the 88th anniversary of KPRA founding. It's not unusual for Korea Central TV to be on air. Kim is not at the celebrations though.

In may 2017 there were persistent rumours about Jiang Zemin's death, once again. After a bit the government answered they would publish an obituary on the People's Daily next day. And they published it, only it was Qian Qichen's obituary. So I guess they could go pretty the same way. Today in the middle of extraordinary broadcast they'll disclose "With our hearts full of grief, we must announce the death of beloved leader Kim" The World: "Ooooooh, it was true! News of the Decade!" KCNA: "Beloved former Chairman of the Presidium Kim Yong-nam died yesterday at the age of 91 after a short illness. Young leader KIm Jong-un has already sent condolences"

I have a long love hate relationship with alcohol. My best mate and flatmate sat me down this week and had a strong word in my ear as my alcohol use was climbing again. Its partly down to a shit situation with work and having my anxiety BPD roaring through this last 4 weeks. Not helped by Lack of PPE, and being caught in a couple of manager's gunfight for control during the lockdown. In simple terms, we are keyworkers with nothing to do and they dont want us sat at home. So I've been out in the general public doing very unappreciated tasks. Very stressful. So I admit it's been a bottle of wine most nights during the lockdown. But late last night I was informed I'm going back to my normal job from Tuesday which can restart safely. This removed the stress totally, I'm happy back with my team, and I can relax knowing I'll be making a difference with a purpose. Today I'll buy Vimto my normal drink of choice and normality will return.

Be quiet you he is the young hot fit piece of ass exception to my shaven headed rule (apart from long haired Grohl who I would bang like a shithouse door in the wind)

Colin Baker was not well served by his scripts a during his TV tenure but his commitment to the show is second to none and his audio work is so much better he probably has the biggest voice presence of the Doctors who have recorded audio adventures. My wife likes him because he smiled kindly at her when we got autographs after the Ultimate Adventure

I wont bore you on the details of the show itself (I think our respective view points are known!). Just to use this to correct the post you replied to: Ecclestone DID offer his services because he thought it'd be a good role (which it is for actors - big role on BBC1 and it gets you other work) - but he fell out with the producer who went to Corrie and fucked off everyone there too. This happens ALL THE TIME behind the scenes on TV, but it was a bigger deal here because Dr Who fans. And a bigger deal for Ecclestone because it ended his long friendship with Russell T Davies. The "he doesn't want to talk to fans" thing is a load of bollocks. He's done a whole lot of fan appearances, is known to be good with child fans, done the whole convention and interview thing (more so in recent years). Hes made it clear its a professional/personal thing and he doesn't blame random no name fans. Just people take things personally. He was asked about the 50th anniversary show but he wanted to see a script which didn't exist so he said he wasn't interested. Which isn't a knock on Steven Moffat as with Sherlock too he had about 9 scripts to knock off in 6 months so was waiting till he knew who was on board rather than need to rewrite the entire thing. Just two different ways to doing TV things that didn't work out together, no conspiracy. Anyhow, he's always struck me on TV as an actor who doesn't like to dwell on past roles, and is somewhat surprised when people enthuse about decades old things! Our Friends in the North, that was a good one. Right, as you were, then.

Book, you're too fast! He had suffered from a sepsis last year which took a heavy toll. (bit of a missed opportunity maybe) An old school catholic leftie in the centrist CDU party of Helmut Kohl. An ambivalent legacy because his belief in the role of the state was either deceivingly simplistic or morally admirable.

He's already outlived two of his wives and 2 kids. Maybe He's sucking the life force out of them and extending his own. Joking aside i read once the human body is built to live a maxium of 120 years.genetics, luck, standard of living and life choices cut that down. Seems to me the newer generation have gained a decade. People in their 20s still acting childish and like teenagers, people in their 30s getting their life together, marriage kids late 30s /early 40s. Life begins at 50 etc. People in their 60s and 70s alot more active than the generation of people in their 60s and 70s before. On holiday i met and active couple in their mid 70s all my grandparents were dead before their mid 70s.
